Holiday Rental House -
4 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms, Sleeps 10
Luss, Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, Scotland
Award winning holiday home situated in Scotlands most preserved Historic Village.

The Strone is a detached property situated in ample secluded gardens. Guests have exclusive use of the full property during their stay.

The location could not be better, smack bang in the middle of Luss Village. Luss is unlike any other Village in the Uk, preserved more or less as it was in the 19th century. Strict planning laws and high property prices have left this tiny Village almost unchanged. The perfect place for anyone visiting to fully relax and to take in the genuine Loch Lomond spirit.
We all want our guests to feel the 5 star status we have been awarded. From cleaning, maintenance and customer service we take great pride in providing the best for our guests. We love this house and its history... Read more

We stayed during 3rd week of July 2017. Our family members ranged from 1 year old to 77 year old, and The Strone had something for everyone. It is located very close to the main Pier on Lock Lomond, has got a well kept garden with kids play area, modern kitchen and a large dining room, apart from other amenities....

This is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the amazing scenery and activities in Loch Lomand area. Spent a couple of nights with family celebrating birthday and it was perfect. The amenities in the house are fabulous and the ambience is lovely. It an idyllic place to stay and look forward to staying again

We spent a few days in this wonderful home from home beautifully stunning house. This was for my cousins 50 th birthday and 9 of us had a fabulous time, laughing, chilling and just having a wonderful time. This holiday home caters for all ages, for inside and out. The weather wasn't that great so we didn't get a chance...

About the neighbourhood
Legend has it that the village takes its name from the French heraldic flower, the Fleur de Lys. According to the legend a local girl married a high ranking French officer in the 14th Century. She died in France and her body was returned to be buried by Loch Lomond. The Fleur de Lys strewn on her grave by her husband and are said to have taken root to flourish here ever since.

During the Empire years Luss was a popular destination for high society wishing to escape the busy streets of the City. In recent years the village has seen a resurgence in its traditional tourist industry. Not that the Village has changed, it is still the simple crofters village on the banks of Loch Lomond that it always was but then that's what makes it so special for everyone who visits now... more
