What a perfect getaway at a lovely secluded location. House was very clean and had everything you need included. Come from a 5 hour drive to this beautiful house which already had the essentials.. tea, coffee, milk, eggs, breads and some treats. The bed was so very comfy and it was lovely waking up to the sounds of the birds...

This was our first holiday as a blended family, us two and our 5x kids (ages 4, 7, 10, 14 & 16)...Speaking for myself and the whole family, the cottage and holiday was perfect. The house was really comfortable and sufficient. Despite approach of autumn really warm and in a great position. Table footbal a welcome extra with fully equipped games cupboard but also the lovely touch of nature - birds, rabbits, cats etc - all seeming to live in harmony.

About the neighbourhood
Llandovery is a traditional Welsh market town in the Upper Towy (Twyi) valley, bounded by three rivers. Its name means church amidst the waters. It has a historical heritage dating back to Roman times. There are ruins of a Norman castle and also churches and some fine Georgian houses. It was also an important drovers town, where herdsmen gathered from all over South Wales to drive their sheep, cattle, geese and pigs to London. The Heritage Centre is housed in a building dating from around 1750 and has a small museum with interesting displays featuring some of the myths and legends as well as the history of Llandovery and the surrounding area. The striking statue of Llywelyn ap Gruffydd Fychan, a supporter of Owain Glyndwrs struggle for Welsh independence, stands by the castle ruins. In 140... more
