Overview
Cottage -
3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 6
Criccieth, Gwynedd, North Wales, Wales
Tyn Llech is a lovingly restored 5 Star graded 17th Century two storey stone cottage nestling amongst ancient oak woodlands on a private 2000 acre country estate on the edge of Snowdonia. Originally two farm cottages, this charming house was designed by the Williams-Ellis family (Portmeirion) who have ensured that the renovations were in harmony with the surroundings. With its limed oak flooring, wood burning stove and pastel colours, whether you are looking for a romantic retreat or a family holiday, Tyn Llech won't disappoint. There are breathtaking views right across the Llyn Peninsular from both inside the house and from the pretty lawned gardens.

What a great week, the cottage was fantastic and we were immediately at home. It was furnished very well and the wood burner made things cosy. We love this area of Wales and have been coming to this area for 50 years or more. The cottage was close enough to the main coast road, without being disturbed by too much...

We stayed in this fabulous cottage for 8 days. Besides that the weather was good - sunshine from a clear blue sky all 8 days - the stay at the cottage was perfect from the booking to the varm welcome from Viv (homemade cake and jam, fresh flowers several places and a big fruit bowl). Please notice that upstairs you...

About the neighbourhood
Tyn Llech is situated on the edge of Snowdonia. The lovely beach at Back Rock is only a couple of minutes drive away, as is the pretty seaside town of Criccieth with it's splendid castle. We guarantee total seclusion - this is the place from where to unwind! The only noise you will hear is birdsong. The owner's great uncle was Clough Williams-Ellis who designed nearby Portmeirion.
