Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Mrs
A wonderful trip as always. The cottage has every thing required to ensure you leave feeling rested and happy. The bed so comfy and the hot tub so relaxing after long walks along the many beaches with no worries of social distancing. The log burner just the ticket for taking the chill off as winter approaches and adds a romantic ambiance to the cosyiness of the snug cottage. The new Bbq area down by the river provides a lovely escape to enjoy a bbq or fish n chips collected fromThe mermaid chip bar in Barmouth. Take your cool bag to keep them toasty hot. The conservatory provides lots of lovely natural light for painting or drawing or just reading a book. The wild life in the garden are always entertaining too if you have time to just sit and stare. ...

Absolutely gorgeous home from home
We book at least 2 cottage holidays a year and I have to say this is certainly one of the best places we have stayed in anywhere in the UK. We were welcomed by Linda who is a fabulous host and has created a real homely feel in the cottage. The attention to detail is exceptional, from the robes used for the hot tub to the bottle of wine in the fridge and Welsh cakes just make this cottage a perfect get away. It sits in lovely gardens, shame we had poor weather but it was February after all. The gardens were certainly loved by our dog and will be a real treat in better weather. The beach is a nice stroll away and there is a pub just down the road. The 5 star reviews on here certainly do the property justice and the comments in the visitors book shows a lot of people are annual repeat guests and we can certainly see why, we will certainly be back.

This place rocks!
This was our umpteenth visit (lost count of how many times we have returned) as we love it so much. From the moment we walk in the door, we feel our stresses lift and leave us. As I was less mobile than usual following knee surgery earlier in the year, I took advantage of the abundance of shells and rocks, and in the haven of the cottage conservatory, set to getting creative. Some of my masterpieces I left for the benefit of following visitors. They represent the wonderful memories made in Llwyn ynn cottage. From Barmouth bridge to Harlech castle and strolling on the many beaches with all the delights they have to offer, with the company of my husband and Dog. We shared some peaceful comforting nights sleep in the huge four poster bed with an outstanding new mattress. The new shower was a refreshing new bonus too. The owner of this cottage likes to make sure her guests have the best she can provide. This includes wine and chocolate and a mini hamper on arrival. The fluffy robes and slippers add to the luxury. And are lovely to slip into after a muscle relaxing soak in the hot tub under the stars before settling down to enjoy one of the many DVD’s , snuggled up with my husband on the reclining sofa in front of the log burning stove. The river side walks up into the hills, which I usually enjoy, my husband tackled alone. I listened with envy as he retold of his trek. I am working on building up my usual stamina and strength for our future visit in September 2020. Counting down the days.... 218 to go.....

Lovely cosy cottage
My boyfriend and I stayed here for a short weekend break. It is a beautiful old cottage, tucked away in an idyllic setting. It’s perfect for a romantic getaway with its hot tub and dreamy four poster bed. A short walk along the river takes you to the local pub and there are lovely sandy beaches nearby. Linda was the perfect host and was helpful with her advice on places to go. Definitely recommend 😊

Great Place to Stay
Just back from our first stay in this lovely cottage. Great garden for the dog and everything in the cottage you should need. Lovely riverside walk at the back of the cottage and pub within walking distance. Be warned though, we went on Saturday night and it was packed so they stopped serving food at one point because the kitchen couldn't keep up! Would definitely stay in this cottage again and Linda was on hand if you needed anything but not at all intrusive.

Peaceful pet friendly little piece of paradise
Just returned from a great week at Linda's cottage. It was all we had hoped for, and then there was the hot tub too. Loads to do in the atea, and the Morbar is just up the road for good food. We will return.

Simply Perfect !!
We always start the year off with a weeks walking holiday based at this perfect cottage (our 7th January visit). With every amenity imaginable and based just outside of Barmouth in the peace and quiet of a picturesque village, it really is the ideal start to the year. Located on the banks of a small fast-flowing river and with Immediate access to a beautiful walk up the gorge or just cross over the road to a pleasant stroll down to the beach. The cottage is wonderfully set out with just about everything that you can think of.....relaxation guaranteed.
