There are boat trips, canoe and bicycle hire and the whole of Anglesey to explore with its coastal path for walkers and ramblers.Our elevated woodland cabin is a well insulated wooden structure that provides comfortable accommodation dining facilities, wardrobe, comfy seats and a wood burner for those chilly mornings and cosy evenings.There is an outdoor barbecue area, and if the weather turns inclement, a gas barbecue underneath the elevated cabin so you can stay dry while you cook.We have an Eco toilet next to the cabin and a toilet and shower facility for your private use approx 100m walk through the woods.To reach the cabin there is approximately 100m walk through the woods. We supply logs for you for the wood burner

What a lovely place to get away from everyone totally secluded in the woods
Our dog love playing ball in the shrubbery and woods
Very clean and well laid out. Outdoor barbecue to cook and sheltered when the rain came down!
Lots of torches and candles when the light faded
The hosts were great when we arrived showing us around explaining everything and helping us to get our luggage to the nest. They made sure we could contact them anytime but not needed at all so we never saw them, they just let enjoy our seclusion
We would recommend them and their Nest to our friends and to anyone

Peaceful, idyllic views, wonderful atmosphere. Will visit again.
We were looking for a quiet getaway and stumbled across this delightful little cabin in the woods, Nanette & John were wonderful hosts for us, extremely friendly and accomodating.
We would definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone who is looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.
We will definitely be visiting again.

A truely peaceful experience
If you wish for tranquility and a breath of nature you cannot go wrong with the Squirrels nest. Our stay was only 4 nights but it was so peaceful and our hosts, Nan and John were so helpful and accommodating. The cabin is supplied with all you need and the bed was very comfortable - We really did not want to leave. The elevated cabin put you amongst nature and to see Red Squirrels in the next tree was wonderful.

Cozy, peaceful retreat with amazing scenery
Absolutely lovely cabin with a lil kitchen/BBQ. Away from everything, in a forest setting with amazing scenery. The owners were lovely and provided everything for your stay. Plenty of hidden walking paths. The cabin is cozy, well insulated and would imagine it to be very warm in the winter. Perfect for a couple but also a family and pet.

Squirrel’s nest
This has to be one of the best weekend stays we’ve ever had. Nan and John are the most perfect hosts, they are both very informative, friendly and have thought of everything you could possibly need.
The log cabin is set in the most beautiful surroundings, lots of nature and interesting things to look at, watching the sun rise from the balcony was the perfect way to start the day.
It is set back so really private as you are the only cabin in the woods but it is not too far of a walk to go and use the shower facilities that are next to the main house.
Our 9 year old girl especially loved the swing in the field and spotting the woodland creatures.
Waking down to the shower block at night time with our torches was also fun.
Beaumaris it self is beautiful, lots of bistros and pubs that serve quality food, plus the views are spectacular.
Thank you Nan and John for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be returning! Xx

Nannette &John. Wonderful friendly and helpful.
Private cabin quiet peaceful.
There is a walk to the bathroom, but bear in mind it's glamping. With a touch of class.
Would love to go back.

Magical forest hideaway
We have just returned from a fantastic 2 night mini break at Nan and John's eco cabin - we were completely blown away by the location, the lovely welcome and all the thoughtful touches -this is our kind of glamping, completely private and secluded but close enough to the wonderful hosts should you need them, nature and beautiful walks literally on your doorstep, a proper comfy bed (and a sea view from the balcony!) everything you could need provided utensil wise for cooking, 5 minute drive into the gorgeous Beaumaris for supplies/pub etc and so safe for our dog (Rosco has had the best holiday, so much freedom!)
A perfect base to explore Anglesey, a pure break from the real world especially in the evening into the night, tea lights and candles just adding to the magic of the place (but with a great signal and charging point if you really can't be without your phone!)
We will a million per cent be returning - thank you so much for a fabulous stay 🙂

Fantastic
We had a wonderful holiday. John and Nan gave us very warm welcome. We instantly felt relaxed as we arrived and talked through their private wood.
The cabin was perfect, very comfortable, beautiful views. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely getaway!
We have just returned from a three night stay at the Squirrels Nest and we had the best time! The cabin was immaculately clean and so peaceful. Everything you needed was there. Nan and John are incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. The wildlife was amazing, so many different birds and loads of red squirrels on the feeders. The cabin is totally hidden from view but with great views to the sea, the Great Orme and Llandudno. If you want a get away from it all break, this is for you. Just be advised that it is up a hill, with the bathroom at the bottom with a basic eco toilet by the cabin. It is a steep walk to the cabin but the tranquility of it all makes up for that. Cosy peaceful getaway
I booked the Squirrels Nest as a surprise for my boyfriend’s birthday. We spent 2 nights there with our little dog, but wish we’d stayed longer!
Nan and John were such friendly hosts who gave lots of information, recommendations and a lovely warm welcome.
The cabin was clean, cosy, warm and well-equipped. We loved sitting out on the balcony, overlooking the woodland and we’re lucky enough to see 3-4 red squirrels during our stay!
We absolutely loved the cabin set-up and the location- the walk to Beaumaris through the woodland and down a country Lane was a highlight for us.
Like many guests, we would LOVE to come back soon!

The North Wales coast, the whole of Anglesey with its coastal paths and golden sandy beaches and Snowdonia national park are all within easy reach from our location. Caernarfon is 25mins drive which also has a castle a harbour with boat rides, plenty of shops and eating places and a steam train that will take you for a day trip through beautiful mountain scenery to Beddgelert and on to Porthmadog.
On hot summer days you can spend you days on many golden sandy beaches and on cooler days there are plenty of places of interest you can visit. Penmon, with its ruined abbey and coastal walks is just a few minutes drive from here and if you play golf, Henllys 18 hole course is right next door to us. It is 15mins walk through beautiful woodland or a couple of mins drive if you prefer.
Getting around
The nearest bus stop is approx 1 mile walk from us and due to our rural location we feel it is a better option to have your own transport although cycles can be hired from Beaumaris.

There is a bus service to Llanfaes (our nearest village) but there is an approx 15min walk from the bus stop to our property.
From the Britannia Bridge (A55) follow the signs for Beaumaris. We are approx 3-4 mins drive from Beaumaris
