About the neighbourhood
Stick Cottage is situated in Dwyran, in the South-West of Anglesey, arguably one of the most beautiful parts of the island and is ideally situated for exploring Anglesey, the North Wales coast and the mountains of Snowdonia. Village shops, pub, tea rooms, Marram Grass Café and take-aways (Indian or Fish and Chips) all within 5 mins drive.

The cottage is close to the famous National Nature Reserve of Newborough Warren and Beach, an area of unspoilt dunes and sandy beaches, with other equally beautiful beaches at Aberffraw, Cable Bay, Lligwy, Traeth Bychan, Church Bay and Benllech, all less than half an hour's drive from Stick Cottage. Anglesey is a fantastic location for wildlife and is home to a huge variety of wildflowers. Newborough forest is a recent stronghold for red squirrel...
Getting around
Although there is a bus service for Dwyran, it is so infrequent, you really need a car to enjoy the island properly.
Again, because we are rural, taxis to and from Menai Bridge or Bangor are quite expensive.
Cycling is popular in Anglesey now and there are many quiet lanes you can cycle on and a beautifully peaceful cycle trail approximately 3 miles from Stick Cottage.
Further information can be found in the Information File in the cottage or on our website.

Stick Cottage is located in the southwest of Anglesey.
Coming from other parts of Wales or England: Immediately after crossing the Menai Straits on the A55 Britannia Bridge, turn left to Llanfairpwll, then turn left again onto the A4080. Carry on past Plas Newydd and through Brynsiencyn. Continue along the A4080 for approximately 2 miles. Take the 4th and last turning (Lôn Capel) into the village of Dwyran – there is a B&B sign on lamp post, as well as Dwyran sign (if you get as far as the purple recycling bin in layby and petrol station, you have passed the turning). Drive past the primary school on your right and after about 100m, Stick Cottage is on the right (in the grounds of Tyn Rardd), just before the blind right-hand bend and opposite the ‘give way to oncoming traffic’ sign.
