The beauty of Lavender Cottage is that it is a 'home from home' holiday property. The owner has made a special effort to make the property interesting and extremely comfortable to guarantee you a relaxing stay. The cottage is also very well equipped, especially the kitchen. WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED ??? Lavender Cottage is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and next to a field which runs down to the cliffs, so there is no noisy traffic to contend with. The property also provides good parking which is at a premium in this pretty and busy seaside village ... and the cliffs and beaches are only a a few yards away! It is also a dog's paradise because the cottage is dog friendly and there is dog access to all the beaches, as well as the Coastal Path. The lounge is large with seating for 7 and has a 37'TV/DVD and there is WIFI on tap. Leading off this is the dining area with a lovely dining table and 6 chairs and this leads to the very attractive modern conservatory The conservatory leads out to the secure and pretty rear garden, which has 2 patios. The kitchen leads off the dining area and there is a sea view from the sink! There is ample garden furniture at which you can enjoy the food you have cooked on the big gas heated barbecue or you can go up the steps to the new roof garden and watch the ships coming and going from the bay. Upstairs there is: - a double room with a TV/DVD, dressing table, chest of drawers, large wardrobe and bedside tables - a twin room with a chest of drawers/dressing table, a large wardrobe and bedside tables - a single/twin room with a guest bed which is at the same height as the single, a dressing table, a chest of drawers and lots of hooks. This single/twin room also has a terrific view of the sea. - a luxurious family bathroom which has recently been completed with a shower/bath, radiator and under floor heating. The landing affords a truly spectacular view of the sea and more often than not there are a number of large vessels awaiting a pilot to take them into Liverpool. The house is heated throughout and electricity is included in the price. More

About the neighbourhood
Moelfre is the sea and if you enjoy the sea then this is the place to be! This famous, tiny maritime village nestled at the bottom of the hill has a history going back hundreds of years. It is most well known for its part in The Royal Charter disaster, when in 1859, and during one of the worst storms to hit the whole of the UK (133 ships foundered), 454 lives were lost, just 10 minutes away from Lavender Cottage. Charles Dickens visited Moelfre soon after and printed an account of the tragedy in his book The Uncommercial Traveller. Many visitors to Moelfre pack away their car keys and never leave the village during their stay! This is because, apart from enjoying our cliff walks and the three beaches, which are within the village, there is so much to do within a short walk away. There...
How to get there
The Island is well served by frequent buses and access to Moelfre is perfectly feasible from either Bangor station or Holyhead Port. Generally those travelling by car will be on the A5 or the A55. In either case take the A5 over the Britannia Bridge (over the Menai Strait) ... BE CAREFUL ...TAKE THE 2ND TURNING OFF ... at the top of the slip road turn right heading towards Amlwch on the A5025 go straight over the roundabout. Head through the villages of Pentraeth and Benllech and when you come to the roundabout, about 1 mile after Benllech, turn right and head down the hill into the village of Moelfre. At the bottom of the hill you come into 'the square' (no it is not square!) keep over to the right and head between the houses (i.e. straight on) and down the hill ... The Kinmel Arms w...
