We are lsituated in a secluded and peaceful location within a few minutes drive from blue flag beaches. Nestled in the south west corner of the Isle of Anglesey the farm house is ideal for the those wanting to simply relax and/or have fun with the many activities on offer.<BR>There is a small woodland to wander through and also enjoy wonderful sunset estuary sea views.<BR><BR>The farmhouse amenities are fully explained on our website - however if you need more information please contact us.<BR>We are centrally located for visiting númerous castles, Snowdonia national Park, the Anglesey Coastal path walks and even a day trip to Ireland. On or off road cycling, horse riding and boating (power boats, fishing, sailing, kayaking etc) are in very easy reach and bikes can be delivered to your...

Already booked our next weekend!
We stayed here for my birthday weekend this year and it was the most relaxing time. Our cottage was within such pretty surroundings. We took in the scenery on a lovely long walk with our dogs. When we got back we played board games with our (young adult) children before dinner, cooked by my lovely husband in the very well equipped kitchen. At the end of the night we alighted to our gorgeous, comfy beds, complete with the softest pillows. We’ve already booked for my husband’s birthday later this year and have absolutely found our new ‘staycation’ location. Thank you Delyth, for everything. ♥️

Excellent stay and experience. The farmhouse was comfortable, homely and in a quiet rural location but not far from all of the tourist areas of Anglesey and north wales. Our dog, Bruno, enjoyed his stay with the land and gardens around the house in the yard. Will definitely return for another family holiday. Recommend 1000%!

A lovely relaxing stay!
A lovely place to stay- very rural- a lovely place to relax and wind down. Top notch facilities and linen. The hosts are also very friendly, if you get a chance to meet them!

The perfect place to wind down and relax!
Amazing little set of cottages. We've stayed in the Woodpecker twice now and will go back again. Really comfy bed and lovely decoration makes this a special place to stay. The grounds are lovely and the wood is a great place to have a stroll through. Special mentions go to the hosts who were on the site when we were there and couldn't do enough to help us. Can't recommend enough👍

Best place to stay
Three generations and a little dog stayed in the farmhouse for a four night stay, with all of us being catered for.
There are not enough superlatives to adequately convey how enjoyable our experience was.
Everything from the comfort and cleanliness of the farmhouse, the accessable gardens and woodland and the tranquility of the location made our holiday exceptional.

Idyllic November break
We stayed recently at the Granary, perfect size for two couples with a bathroom for each couple .
The properties are in a wonderful location and are all immaculately presented .
The kitchen is very well appointed with everything you could possibly need , a lovely spacious dining room overlooking the enclosed garden made breakfasts a delight .
The lounge was so cosy and comfortable we really enjoyed our evenings in .
The bedrooms are spacious and have extremely comfortable beds and good quality bed linen .
We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful location and all had the best sleep and rest we’ve had in a while .
The house is well placed for visiting the local beach , lovely walks and visiting other areas .
We enjoyed eating out at a couple of restaurants recommended by Delyth , the owners are very helpful and we appreciated their informative and friendly emails .
We shall look forward to returning to this perfect retreat

Lovely, pet-friendly, escape in the countryside
We stayed here Sun 17 Oct to Thurs 21 Oct and we can recommend it
The accommodation is high quality, and spacious but also cosy due to the log fires
The setting is lovely, peaceful and with lots to do and the owners Noel & Delyth were very welcoming and helpful
We enjoyed walking our dog on the beach with the lighthouse at the end, along with climbing Dionrwig Slate Quarry, visiting Caernarfon, and generally getting away from work and spending nice family time together
We'd never been to Anglesey before and this was a welcome introduction.

Perfect retreat on Anglesey and dog friendly too!
We had a fantastic 5 night stay in the Owl Barn with our 2 dogs. Owl Barn was incredibly warm and comfortable kitted out with everything we needed. Anglesey itself was a great adventure, we enjoyed exploring the beaches, forests and villages. Delyth recommended the Oystercatcher restaurant which is a hof house nestled amongst the sand dunes by a fabulous beach. What a spot! Coming back to our cosy cottage after a full day out was perfect. I would highly recommend House in the Yard, there are a total of 4 cottages, so it would also be a great spot for a group. Delyth & Noel are perfect hosts, they provided us with plenty of information on things to do in the area. Can’t wait to come back ….

High-spec, quiet countryside accommodation, ideal base for local walks and activities
We stayed in The Farmhouse cottage at House in the Yard from Sunday 17th October to Friday 22nd October and my brother-in-law and his family stayed in The Granary cottage during the same week.
The high specification of the accommodation is obvious as soon as you arrive (well-equipped kitchen, log-burning fire, spacious bedrooms) and the setting of the entire property is excellent, located in a quiet road just outside the small village of Llangaffo with three acres of surrounding meadows and woodland. There is ample off-road car-parking and the whole property is dog-friendly with nearby beaches just a few minutes’ drive away.
We climbed the Dinorwig Slate Quarry next to the National Slate Museum (30-minute drive) where you can take a gentle descent back down into the town. Other highlights included a trip to the Menai suspension bridge (20-minute drive), a visit to Caernarfon (30-minute drive) to wander around the town and view the impressive castle there and on our final day we took the opportunity to climb Mount Snowdon, taking the Llanberis Path, which was a little challenging for us novice climbers, but exhilarating!
Friendly owners Noel and Delyth could not do enough for us and were always on hand to help if needed, giving us helpful suggestions for local excursions and places to eat.

Lovely holiday cottage
We were so pleased with this holiday cottage for a family of 4. It was clean and well equipped. Beautiful property with a meadow and a great view from the bedroom. Great if you want to be off grid (little connectivity), and very relaxing.
If you are travelling here in Coronavirus time make sure you book activities and special meals out well in advance. Best food was Gaerwen Arms, Dylans & Gaerwen chippy! Couldn’t get into the Oystercatcher or Marram Grass. Also if visiting Newborough beach you will need to get there early as there is limited daily access (£5 contactless). Top tip is cafe at nearly motor museum for tea and scones etc!
Would definitely stay again.

We are located in the South West corner of Anglesey wher you have access to the award winning beaches of Newborough with theirs beautiful stretches of sand and pine forest coastline. The Menai Straight has a wonderful section of activities to chose form and has some great eateries. The Castles close by are worth a visit as well.<BR>
