A romantic tranquil retreat, just for two, all on its own, hidden in a secluded woodland glade with a large wildlife pond (4' deep) across the front lawn and 12 acres of mature woodland to explore - a naturalists and bird watchers paradise, 1.5 miles from the coastal village of Solva. Lots of walks almost from your doorstep - take the woodland trail which passes the gated cottage entrance to Solva with its restaurants and picturesque harbour. All the North Pembrokeshire Coast with its Coastal Path, tiny harbours and hidden coves are yours to discover and are within an easy drive.

Although the description says this cottage is small, please do not under-estimate just how small it is, particularly the bedroom. There is one standard double bed which has about 14" space around three sides and the roof is slanting so, if you are taller than about 5'8" you will only be able to use one side of the bedroom without stooping. There is also no storage space neither in the bedroom nor other room. We had to keep suitcase in the boot of the car with all the walking equipment as there was just nowhere to put them when we had the armchairs out.
Other than that,this, the cottage is modern and clean. The garden and surrounding area is beautiful. PS: Could do with some comfortable chairs for sitting in the garden.

Although the cottage is quite small, it is modern, warm, attractive, and efficient. The pond and grounds are lovely, lots of walks in the area and close to Solva and St. Davids. The one downside is that the bedroom is quite tiny and there was no room to store clothing except on two sets of hooks on the walls. There were no hooks for wet raincoats, etc. in the entryway, which would have been nice, and we suggested that possibility to the owners.We would stay here again!
