Tan y Coed, Welsh for under the trees,is situated just a 2 minute walk away from the Plas Dolguog Hotel, less than a mile outside of Machynlleth and right in the middle of the Dyfi Valley, and just up river from the RSPB Ynysir Wildlife Reserve as featured on BBC's Spring Watch.

The cabin is an ideal place for a couple or small family, walkers and cyclists to use as a base for exploring this diverse part of Mid Wales with many surrounding bridleways, walks, and forestry commission tracks.

The lounge/diner is centred around the large French doors looking out over the beautiful Dyfi valley and the modern and highly efficient Scandinavian log burning stove for which a plentiful supply of logs is provided.

This log cabin really has it all. Wood burner with plenty of logs, comfy beds, great shower and very well equipped kitchen. It has the most amazing view from inside or whilst sitting on the private balcony. It is very close to Machynlleth, which is a wonderful town at the southern tip of Snowdonia. As you're approaching Machynlleth on the A489 from Newtown direction there is a brown tourist information sign directing you to turn right for the Plas Dolguog Hotel.

Take this right hand turn and follow the lane round. As you get to the end of the lane you will see the entrance to the Plas Dolguog on your left hand side. Take the turning immediately after this on your left and you'll enter an orchard area with wooden cabins dotted around. Drive through this area and as you enter the woods Tan y Coed is on the right hand side. The drive is outside and is covered in grey slate and will fit two cars.

The key is stored in a key box to the left of the front door.
