Please feel free to stroll around the garden and pond area, there are many places to sit, relax and enjoy our beautiful view. We can also offer Clay Pigeon shooting onsite with an instructor, prices start at £35 per person, based on a minimum of two shooters for a private lesson.

Weekend stay in this Beautiful Shepperd's hut with Hot Tub gets 5 stars from me and my Wife.
The hut was amazing which had a Comfy bed, shower room and even a log burner. The attention to detail with the little ornaments and games was lovely. They provided hairdryer , coffee and tea facilities, & toiletries. It Also came with a separate boat house with cooking facilities and wood burner to chill out after a long relaxing soak in the hot tub.
Can't recommend this place enough. The host were lovely and helpful, sent info of places to go and eat/visit before we went.
On our first night we came back from our meal out and Martin (the host) had set the wood burner up in the boathouse so that it was lovely and cosy warm for us after our chill out in the hot tub.
Would definitely recommend for a nice relaxed long weekend.

My review seriously does not do this place justice!
I was looking for a romantic rural getaway that was a quirky place to stay for my partners birthday where we could completely shut off and enjoy our surroundings and could not have found anything better! The view was stunning and the hut itself was amazing. The craftsmanship and attention to detail was first rate, all the more Martin and Charlotte are fantastic hosts, they were there when you need them they couldn’t be more helpful but more importantly give you plenty of privacy. We ordered the the breakfast rolls for the next morning which was a lovely touch which we ate on the picnic bench outside the hut whilst enjoying the morning! and again everything is thought about in detail, The Boathouse is another great idea giving you the modern facilities you need, we had the wood stove on in the evening as well as playing games that were already in the boat house plenty of thought has gone into this experience, we also set up Our own movie projector to enjoy a film over wine. The following day after breakfast Martin took us pigeon clay shooting, it’s was the best experience Iv had, Martin is very informative and reassuring and puts you immediately at ease, this added extra option I highly recommend! To finish your whole stay off, we will certainly be returning as we Didn’t want to leave - thanks again Charlotte and Martin so much for a great time!

Idyllic
We were looking for a quirky place to stay and could not have found anything better! The setting was stunning and the hut itself was amazing. The craftsmanship was first rate, all the more impressive given the fact that it was built by the hosts, Martin and Charlotte - who could not have been more helpful. We ordered the continental breakfast, which we had in the ‘Boathouse’; another example of their amazing creativity. The breakfast itself was spot on. Didn’t want to leave - thanks so much for a great time!

Perfect stay
We spent the last day of our Wales trip in this wonderful Shepherds Hut! We had an amazing stay and loved this place so much. The hut might be small, but it contains everything you need for a perfect getaway. It was perfectly clean and we loved the decoration and all the little things that make it so special. There is even a fireplace to keep you warm and cozy during cold nights. The Shepherds Hut is located in the middle of a beautiful garden with a pond. It is surrounded by nature and we just loved the area. The owners are a very friendly family and it was very nice to talk to them and get some good advice for sights and restaurants. I can highly recommend you to stay at this beautiful place and hope to be back soon one day. It is such a romantic place, especially at night with all the little lights in the tree. Just wonderful!

What an amazing time we have had it's been so relaxed with amazing hospitality.

Very relaxing
We enjoyed our stay it’s certainly a peaceful spot with wonderful views the shepherds hur was comfortable & cosy tastefully fitted out. Thanks for the hospitality.

Great overnight stay
Fantastic and unique place to stay! We stopped overnight and couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend the night. Incredibly peaceful and the hut itself is Of an extremely high standard. We were very well looked after - the owners even helped charge our car battery which had run down overnight (all my own fault). Can’t recommend highly enough!

I want a Black Mountains Shepherd’s Hut of my very own
Stayed for one night while picking up a pup locally. Charlotte was very accommodating about my ever changing plans and very welcoming. The shepherd’s hut is enchanting, with everything you need fitted in a compact space. It is comfortable, decorated tastefully and has many lovely touches such as the hand made oak shelving. Could not resist trying the Hobbit stove which was amazingly effective. The surroundings were lovely, with a Shirotae cherry in full bloom just outside when I stayed. The continental breakfast delivered to the hut was varied and of excellent quality; there was so much that even a gannet like me could not eat it all. You can even get a 4G phone signal if that is important to you. Facilities in The Boathouse are an added bonus although I did not need to make use of them.
