Golton in the Gap is a modern, architecturally designed home in the heart of Halls Gap. This beautifully appointed home accommodates up to eight guests in three spacious bedrooms, and large open living area.
The generous deck with spectacular views of the Grampians is perfect for alfresco dining and relaxation.
To assist guests requiring access for mobility needs, a ramp extends from where you park your car, into the house. Doorways have extra width, and the showers are walk-in and spacious.
Golton in the Gap is located just a leisurely stroll from the centre of Halls Gap, and for many walking tracks and wildlife opportunities within the Grampians National Park.

Great find
This is a beautiful property that is very well equipped with everything you would need from cooling/heating, fully equipped kitchen, spacious living areas, lovely location and close to attractions. This was our best, most comfortable accommodation in an 18 day trip across SA and Victoria. Would love to stay here again and will be recommending it to others.

A Wonderful Holiday at Golton in the Gap
Our family had a wonderful holiday at Golton In The Gap at Halls Gap.
The house was immaculate and everything was of a high standard. It was in a convenient location, walking distance to the shops.
The living area was spacious and comfortable.
The kitchen was well equipped with all the necessary cooking implements and cleaning products. All appliances worked well and the coffee machine was welcome. It was great to have instructions for all the appliances and also suggestions for things to do in the Grampians.
The bedrooms were very comfortable with quality linen and the bathrooms were very clean and well presented. It was good to have the main bedroom and ensuite separate from the other bedrooms.
The split system reverse cycle air conditioners in the living area and in each of the bedrooms were very welcome during a frosty week in June.
It was a surprise to receive a lovely gift of Grampians produce for a special birthday.
The games were very handy on a rainy day and the balcony would be fabulous on a sunny day.
Roslyn & Daryl were very helpful and always answered any queries promptly.
A wonderful holiday and we hope to return one day.

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your special birthday celebrations in Halls Gap. Despite the weather being cold, with frosty mornings, we're glad you were warm and comfortable. It's great to flick a switch for instant heat, but the wood fire creates a special coziness, especially when it's a rainy day.
We hope to welcome you back again, maybe in the Springtime when the weather is warmer.

A great house to catch up with friends.
A beautiful modern house, well appointed, with amazing views. So close to town with great walking and riding tracks. For three couples having a catch up, it served its purpose well. And we loved the balcony for our evening drinks.

5 star experience highly recommend.
The house was stunning! Loved the layout. There was nothing that hasn’t been thought of so we could enjoy our stay! Very comfy beds and pillows. Loved the open fireplace and there was plenty of wood available. Would highly recommend staying at the Golton.

Spectacular location & views from "The Golton"
Golton in the Gap is amazing.... what isn't to like about it, the amazing views the location just a short stroll into town, the cleanliness of the huge home with every little detail considered.

Superb in every way.
Golton in the Gap is one of the most comfortable & well-equipped houses we have ever stayed in.
Extremely comfortable beds, great shower & lovely ambience. All this together with a friendly & welcoming host make this a 5 STAR property. Bravissimo!

An excellent house from which to explore the Grampians
My wife and I spent three nights recently at Golton in the Gap. It is an immaculately clean and modern house with everything you could possibly want. Tremendous deck at the front with a good BBQ. Comfortable bed and plenty of space if you need it. It is in a quiet location but not far at all to the shops and restaurants. The hosts obviously run a very tight ship and are a pleasure to deal with. They responded in a very timely fashion to every email I sent and were very happy to make suggestions as to walks and also restaurants etc. Checking in was a cinch and they have a link to an excellent digital guest book which provides very detailed information as to the house, the appliances, the region and the many attractions. It is a very useful thing to have. We had not been to the Grampians for many decades but could not imagine a better base from which to explore this beautiful region. We could not fault our stay and heartily recommend Golton in the Gap based on our experience of it.

Great getaway in tge Grampians
We stayed at Golton in the Gap with two other couples for four nights. We had a fun five days in this well designed accommodation. My husband is a poor sleeper if there is noise, so he had no trouble with listening to others snoring as the bedrooms were well separated from each other by bathrooms and living area. The living area was large with a dining table for eight and a fully equipped kitchen. There were very friendly birds on the deck and a cockatoo was happy to eat straight from our hand.

About the neighbourhood
Halls Gap is the central town within the Grampians National Park, where there is an abundance of activities on your doorstep. The area is renowned for spectacular hiking, stunning views and inquisitive wildlife including kangaroos, emus, wallabies and birds.
Halls Gap is a great base from which to explore the regions many natural wonders including bush walks, lookouts and waterfalls. The local regional wineries produce many award winning wines, and are a great place to relax and share local produce platters. Halls Gap Zoo is Victoria's largest regional zoo with over 160 native and wild animals. The near-by lakes provide recreational activities including, boating, fishing, swimming and bird watching.
Getting around
Golton in the Gap is centrally located, being a short 10 minute walk from the centre of Halls Gap. Upon arrival, park your car, and the local shops, restaurants, cafes and attractions are just a leisurely stroll away. Access to many of the Grampians National Park walking tracks are close-by.
Golton in the Gap is situated along the sealed Halls Gap Bike and Walking Path, which connects the Pomonal Road and Lake Bellfield passing through the Halls Gap Village and the Brambuck Cultural Centre. The 7.9 km long, gently undulating path meanders through shady gum trees, with views of the Wonderland and Mount William Ranges.
