My apartment No.2 is cosy fully self contained, (some people have described it as a cottage) with a combustion wood heater and a reverse cycle air con. It is in a private setting with lots of open lawn area. You have your own laundry downstairs. The key to your apartment, fits your laundry. I have a keysafe beside your door to allow you access with your key, anytime you arrive. All linen, cutlery crockery, microwave, fridge is included. Tea coffee milk for 1 night. Wall oven and hot plates. Free bottle of wine. Under cover verandah, with a couch and a table and chairs and Gas BBQ . its also big enough to fit bikes and luggage. . 3 bedrooms. We spent many hours on the beautiful windy drive on the Snowy River track (-which had no mobile service), we arrived in Orbost at nearly 6pm, and rang on the off chance they had a room available. We walked in and loved the large living...More

The apartment suited our needs was comfortable and being located outside town there was no traffic noise and lots of outdoor space. We would stay there again as it was affordable and allowed us to do our own cooking and with spaces to relax.

We were not aware that the unit shares walls with 2 other units- was very noisy. (This of course depends on who your neighbors are during the stay.) The unit is dated but was very clean and the owner was great to deal with.

Longhorn Ranch is a transformed motel function area, divided into 3 rather roomy accommodation areas. All fully self contained. It is situated about 1km from the main street of Orbost, in a quiet service road. Farming land to the rear. It overlooks the famous Snowy River.500metres away. Fishing accessible. As it is just off the main highway, it is rural, so very few houses in this area.
