Catch & Release observes all protocols according to TN state and local laws and Federal directives regarding cleanliness, sanitary conditions, and disinfectant guidelines. We use EPA-registered household disinfectants that ensure every guest is protected.
CATCH & RELEASE is located on 4 SECLUDED, CREEKSIDE, WOODED acres in the Shagbark gated community. We are three minutes from our Community Clubhouse with a swimming pool, tennis court, 2 Pickle Ball Courts, Basketball, a park with fitness trails, dog park, playground, frisbee golf, picnic table and pavilion We have WIRELESS HIGH-SPEED INTERNET, 2 gas fireplaces, 2 KING bedrooms with TV & DVD separate receivers, 1 QUEEN bedroom with private bath, and updated bathrooms. NO Early Check-in or Late checkout, unless agreed upon prior to the vacation rental date. There is a charge for another night’s rental after 10:00 AM on your check out date. The maximum number of guests is limited to six (6) persons.
Each property is inspected, sanitized, inventoried, and cleaned after your departure. The cabin is equipped as a fully furnished property.

Amazing!!
This wonderful cabin was perfect! Lots of room, spacious for six people, we were very comfortable, and had everything we needed. The host made sure everything was set up perfectly for us. The kids loved the pond and fountain in the front as well as the backyard. It has the most adorable little statues and a beautiful stream running through with a lovely little stone walkway. We had our own little forest in the backyard. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of walking around Dollywood. Comfortable beds and all the accommodations we needed. You should book a stay here, we will definitely be staying again! Thank you so much to the wonderful host who made everything just perfect for a little family getaway!

Heaven On Earth
We picked this cabin for the pond and ended up with so much more! Beautifully decorated, spacious, well kept and close to everything we love to do! Rain or shine there is plenty to do while there. Hot tub, game, books and lots of movies. The quiet gated community has a pool, hiking trails and park. The pictures do NOT do this place justice. Stories of inspiration line the walls and we knew upon entering that we were brought here for a reason. As a family of 2 cancer survivors and 1 currently fighting, this cabin was everything we dreamed of and more. The immediate peace and sense of renewal were incredible. We left fully relaxed and filled with a sense of appreciation for our own journey and that of the others before us. Sandra has made this the perfect getaway from the real world. It is definitely a hidden gem. It will be our first go to for future getaways.

Perfect for a quiet family vacation
The pictures and the description are just as they described! My family really enjoyed this place. I am not quite sure the one bedroom downstairs was queen but that was a non-issue. We did get to see a momma bear and her cubs and a crane. My husband and grandson loved the pond! The pool table and foosball table were a hit with the kids and grandkids. We did not use the hot tub but we did use everything else! The pool and clubhouse are very nice! We enjoyed them tremendously. Appliances are up-to-date. Bring salt if you like it. There was none in the place but that was my bad. The only thing is we had more trash than the two garbage cans could hold. We ate in each night. As we have ATT for a phone service, none of us had cellular service except for my son-in-law, who had Verizon. We just used WiFi to message people. The roads are rough in some spots but that also is a non-issue. Everyone was very nice and friendly and the caretakers always kept us updated on the happenings around the area. I felt safe in this gated community. We are from Southeastern Kentucky so we are used to the close wildlife. Thanks for the memories!

Amazing
Wow. I have booked many places in lots of states. Catch and release cabin was absolutely one of our favorites. The property is so peaceful and pretty. It was one of the cleanest property we’ve stayed in. So, peaceful for us adults and exciting for all three kids 11, 9, and 6. They were never bored even when it rained all day and we could not do outside things. With a nice hot tub, pool table, foosball, checker and chess tables, TVs, books, fish to feed, they found enough to be entertained. It is larger than I expected and there are lots of sitting areas that lets you all be together or get away by yourself. Did not feel crowded. I would very definitely return to this place.
One other huge plus. The owner, San andra, was immediate in responding to any questions I had. She provided easy to follow directions and she gave us personal attention to any of our specific questions. What a warm and inviting home!

We had an awesome time, the cabin and the landscaping were beautiful! The owner genuinely cares about your stay and will make sure all expectations are met! A little advice, if your planning on staying here stay longer.

Catch and release
We had an amazing time, it is an relaxing atmosphere. The kids enjoyed the catch and release pond while the adults liked the hot tub. It was great quiet time. The bull frogs were fun to watch and listen to.

Perfect place to get away from it all.
Cozy, comfortable, & clean cabin. Plenty of things to do without leaving the cabin, or within a short drive (pool). If you are looking to get away from the hustle & bustle, this is a perfect place.
Unfortunately, it rained most of our stay so we didn't get to enjoy the pond or pool much. But the hot tub & pool table got plenty of use! The kids loved it and are already asking when we can go back!

Best Vacation Ever
Catch And Release was more than my family and I hoped for. We'd never been to the Smokies, and I pretty much just picked a cabin and hoped for the best...and the best is what we got. The cabin is in a gated and secured community called Shagbark, and as we drove through the community, we felt that we definitely scored the best cabin by far! The housekeeper did a phenomenal job with the cleanliness of the cabin, the decor was comfortable, and the grounds around the cabin were beautiful and peaceful. We could have gladly spent our entire week just sitting in one of the rockers on the front porch or sitting out back listening to the babbling brook. And the owner, Sandra, was an absolute joy to work with. We WILL be back!

Driving directions from US Interstate-40 to Shagbark:
Take Exit 407 towards Sevierville & Pigeon Forge 0.3 mi; Follow Highway-66 South which becomes US-441 12.5 mi; Turn right at Traffic Light #3 onto Wears Valley Rd 3.0 mi; Turn right at Waldens Creek Rd 3.0 mi; Turn left at N. Clear Fork Rd 0.7 mi; Arrive at Shagbark Security Entrance and present Security Pass to Guard. Map and directions to Catch & Release are given to you at the gate by our friendly, helpful guards.
We are in a 1200 hundred acre, 240 home, creek-side gated community that has a clubhouse, pool and tennis courts. We are 10 minutes from the center of Pigeon Forge and 20 minutes from Gatlinburg and Dollywood. Our driveway parks up to 5 vehicles and is an excellent space for children to play outdoor games.

How to get there
Catch & Release is within an 8 hour or less driving distance of 80% of the US population. It is easy to get to via the interstate road systems. We are located in a gated community whose 24 hours manned security center is there to log you in, provide directions to C&R, answer questions, and provide assistance to you and your family.
Even though it is secluded in the mountains, it is within 10 minutes of the center of all the activity in the Smoky Mountains. There is Dollywood, 4 golf courses, fishing, winter skiing in Gatlinburg, outlet shopping, a variety of kid entertainment and rides, and many affordable restaurants. There is no place like it for a family vacation.
