Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Perfect.
This cabin is very homey. Comfortable And absolutely perfect for a family getaway. This is the most stocked cabin ive ever been in! We literally didnt need anything except food and our clothes! Its very clean. Everything works as described. The tub is heavenly. The fireplace warms you up very quickly. Plenty of room to sleep. The owner is VERY helpful and super easy going. So nice! Do many unique antiques in there! Our 2 families enjoyed making this where we had our thanksgiving holiday ♡

Great house, great farm!
We had a great time at Idle Hour Farm. We particularly enjoyed the march up the hill, although not everyone made it (it's very steep!). Rogersville is a charming town, not a lot to do, but if you're going for a family holiday, that's not a problem.

About the neighbourhood
The cabin is located on a dead end country road. We have a few neighbors, but you will just see them in passing mowing the yards and such. The cabin sits on 50 acres of land. We have a barn and several out buildings as well as another log cabin on the back of the property that is needing some TLC, but you are welcome to go and explore. The land goes to the top of the ridge. If you feel sprite, take a hike! We have a herd of deer that frequent the farm as they make their way to the creek below. At last count we have 31 wild turkey. No Hunting except with a camera. Rogersville is a wonderful old town, in fact it is the second oldest in Tennessee. We have several museums, ebbing and flowing springs, and the grandparents to Davy Crockett are buried there. Be sure and take some time to roam the downtown area and shop local artist, antiques and eateries.
