This very special riverside property offers peace and tranquillity in a secluded, wooded setting. The village of Aspiran is about five minutes drive. Originally a ferryman's cottage the house is set in private grounds with trees and flowering shrubs. It has been restored to a high standard with good furnishings and fittings throughout. All rooms have river views and are spacious and light incorporating many original features. The large, south-facing, sunny terrace, is perfect for 'al fresco' meals and sunbathing and is well equipped with outdoor furniture and sun-loungers. Spacious living area is furnished with a comfortable sofa and arm chairs, lamps and coffee table. What a charming property, even in December when the leaves were off the trees and all the vines behind the property were bare. The property is a complete home, right down to the cork screws, boardsgames in the library cupboards......even a pretty good rucksack is...More

The village of Aspiran is a typical wine growing village it has a range of small shops including bakery, pharmacy and small supermarket. There is a restaurant close to the church in the village centre and second at the entry to the village. There is also a small market on Thursday mornings.

A a wide range of shops and restaurants is available in the nearby market towns of Clermont Herault or Paulhan or Pezenas. Mediterranean beaches are a 20 mins drive as is Lac Salagou with its windsurfing and water sports facilities.
