We stayed in this apartment as a family of 5, kids aged 10, 14 and 17. The bedroom with double and bunks was great for the kids and we had the double en-suite. No need for making up any beds. It was great for 5, not sure 8 would have enjoyed it with 8 people but to be fair we...

About the neighbourhood
Avoriaz lies high up at an altitude of 1800m in the French Alps. It is situated at the centre of the 14 French and Swiss and resorts that together make up the world's largest interanational ski area - The Portes du Soleil. As the highest resort in the region it is snow sure with an average of 8m per year offering views of Lac Leman, Les Dents du Midi, Les Dents Blanches.

Avoriaz is car-free, making it particularly suitable for families and children. Transport in the resort is by horse drawn sledge and tanksi (a track type vehicle).

Sledging is available in the town centre. There is an open air ice rink, a fitness centre with gym, fitness classes, sauna, hamam within metres of the apartment.
