Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Great family fun.
We had a blast with the kids in the loft and the funky, unique features of this one of a kind cabin. The lake, swimming, kayaks, and yoga kept us as busy as we wanted but plenty of time to chill. The onsite massage was out of this world.

Living Waters in Spicewood TX
My girl friends and I booked the funky Blue Loft with the ladies weekend package upgrade for a quiet and relaxing bachelorette weekend. Everything exceeded our expectations! The wine tasting was wonderful, and both the massage and yoga classes were amazing. We also were very impressed with the effort Todd took to making sure everything was perfect for us. We will be coming back in the future!

Fantastic place in the Hill Country
Words do not describe how amazing the Blue Eco Loft is! From the moment we arrived on the property we were in love with the place. We went for a de-stress weekend before our kids started school and we couldn't have picked a more perfect place. The loft was exceptional, clean, funky and inviting. The property is amazing, peaceful and tranquil. Emma initially assisted with all my questions, gave great emailed tips on local eats and adventures, and was an excellent property manager (The only drawback was that I didn't get to meet her, but maybe next time!). We did enjoy exceptional cuisine from Jordan, their private chef. The food is beyond amazing, and my husband and I enjoyed his conversation. He gave us some great tips on local breweries and eateries, fun places to explore and some really great back stories. We really enjoyed our time at Living Waters, it's a fantastic hidden gem that we will hopefully be able to visit at least once a year. You won't find a better place for the price, hospitality (thanks Emma and Jordan), or beauty in the area. This is definitely the best place to stay in Spicewood!

The best little B&B in Texas!
I feel like finding this little gem was kismet, in the first place. I was in the market for a nice little, immediate get-a-way to escape the city for a couple of days. Living Waters on Lake Travis not only looked a lot nicer, it was also better priced than most other B&B-type places within 100 miles. Why wouldn't I go for it? As soon as I requested some more information to make an educated decision, Bethany was on top of it, and couldn't have been a bigger help! Once I reserved our weekend, Bethany still responded quickly to any of the trivial inquiries I may have had leading up to our stay.
My wife and I were getting married the day of our check-in, and arriving at Living Waters very late in the evening, so I was allowed to drop my personal vehicle off early. Once we arrived, our cabin was ready, turned down and cooled. The inside was very nice, and clean. They had all the amenities for us to use, that anyone would need to live comfortably out there in the quiet wilderness. I think we're going to have to return for our anniversary, because there was still a lot to see and do that we just didn't budget the time for. There were also some good places to eat only minutes away, and a grocery store for our convenience, so we weren't completely cut off from the trappings of society; but everyone we encountered in the area was so pleasant, and willing to offer up that welcomed southern hospitality.
5 stars across the board, thank you Bethany... see you next year!!!

Relaxing 3day stay for clam, yoga and Thai massage
Easter weekend, cool weather and access to Travis lake. We had communal yoga and a Thai massage lesson. Highly recommended !! Easy to find, a little remote so theatre is no traffic at night. Houses are clean and cute. Unique experience in the middle of nature.

We didn't want to leave
We got married on March 30, 2013, at Living Waters. We had friends and family stay with us for a whole weekend of celebration and joy. If you're looking for a beautiful natural setting, and a place to enjoy your wedding guests for more than 3 hours, you've just found it. In addition to the property being peaceful, beautiful, and not manicured to within an inch of its life, Bethany and Travis are delightful, helpful, and are the reason Living Waters has such relaxing energy.
We returned to Living Waters, staying in the blue loft eco cabin, for our 1-year anniversary. It took no time at all to unwind and feel at home. There's something magical about simply enjoying a nice spring breeze on the deck and listening to birds. The cabin has a kitchen stocked with pots, pans, and utensils we needed to make delicious meals. It was wonderful seeing Bethany and Travis, who so lovingly care for the property as well as every guest. We enjoyed Bethany's community yoga class on Saturday morning. Predictably, we didn't want to leave, but we'll be back again soon.
If you're looking for a lovely Hill Country cabin on an even more lovely property, a peaceful weekend, a place where you can truly unwind and get away, you've found it.

Two nights of relaxing in the Eco Blue Loft...
Stayed two very relaxing nights in the Eco Blue Loft. Definately the most unique place we've ever stayed. Very much a work of art through the hands of a craftsman with random, untamed design plans. Loved all the windows and their locations. We were able to share a bottle of wine on the loveseat and see the stars through the ceiling windows. Slept in the loft with yet another view of the stars. All this while having complete privacy, with floor level curtains that span the front of the room. Kitchen was quaint and very usable. Wooden sink was a first. We had all of our meals in, much to our enjoyment. Enjoyed the porch in morning for coffee and in the evening for the sunset. Felt a warm welcome that made it easy to relax. Will return.

Very Peaceful
We enjoyed our stay at Living Waters on Lake Travis (The Blue Loft). The atmosphere and views of this place are amazing and so funky. It was clean and very comfortable for two people. My boyfriend and I watched deer drink from the river, as the sun was setting, very peaceful. Only complaint was that the river was low, it was a bit sad. While we were in Spicewood we visited Krause Springs very disappointing. The water was low and there were over 50 people in a little murky watering hole, which I understand is due to the drought. Now Hamilton Pool was worth the two-hour wait (get there before 9am to avoid a wait) to enter the park. It was breathtaking and the water is nice and cold. Buy groceries before you arrive, as there is nothing nearby, except convenience stores. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful spot to recharge this place will work for you. If you want something more lively, I would not recommend staying here. I will definitely come back to this place. Photos were spot on. Also Bethany was very helpful with our reservations and questions.

Eco-funky says it all.
Living waters is my new happy place. I was looking for a quirky, fun, yoga getaway for my 30th birthday that was within my price range, and Living Waters just dropped into our laps. It was everything my friends and I had wanted! We stayed in the Blue Loft eco cabin, which is just as cute and funky as the pictures make it look. The atmosphere is very laid back and natural. You feel secluded, even though you know you're not that far away from town. We spent the mornings drinking coffee on the front porch and doing yoga, and then went to Tomato Happy Hour and Stonehouse Vineyard in the afternoon. Then we came back to sit on the porch some more and watch the sunset. It was perfect.
If you want a huge bathroom, bedroom, 24hr room service, and a spa, this isn't the place for you. But if you want something unusual, fun, and downright lovely, it's perfect.

Babymoon Vacation
My husband and I stayed in the Blue Loft while on vacation, when I was 7 months pregnant. I always get worried about trying new places, because I'm very picky about sleeping conditions and being pregnant makes it worse, but I had nothing to worry about. Bethany and Travis were wonderful hosts, showing us around the property and getting us settled. They were readily available if we needed them, but left us plenty of privacy. The property was so unexpected, a little oasis outside austin. It was quiet and peaceful, and we were able to finally get some well-needed rest and relaxation. My husband had Travis for a thai massage and said it was the best massage he'd ever gotten--he usually comes out of massages saying how it could've been better--but no complaints about this one.
The only thing I would say about the Blue Loft was that the bed is actually up in the loft. As I didn't want to risk falling off the ladder in the middle of the night when I got up (as I do frequently while pregnant), we ended up moving the mattress to the floor in front of the fireplace, placing it on top of the futon mattress. This was just the most comfortable for me and my body, but others might not have a problem and enjoy being up in the loft.
I would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you want to avoid the high cost of staying directly in austin, and want to just get some good relaxing in. We did travel to austin most days, but the drive isn't bad and it was so nice to come back to the quiet of Living Waters.
