Totally updated but traditional "home away from home" facing the Chincoteague Channel on Chincoteague Island, minutes from the quaint downtown and the Assateague National Seashore and Wildlife refuge. Relax in this spacious, clean, and beautifully furnished home with water views of the sunset from its front porch. The house features Direct TV, DVD player, large yard with off street parking, Weber grill, fully equipped kitchen, AC, bathtub with jets, and a supply of books, movies, and games. Enjoy all the varied activities the Chincoteague area has to offer, including beaching, crabbing and fishing, kayaking and boating, bicycling, bird watching, fine dining, live entertainment, farmers market, and so much more.

Great stay
Just got back from a great stay at this rental. Two family's with small children had plenty of room and everything we needed in this house. Great location, sub shop across street, walk to the fair, short trip to the beach. Had a great time. Thank you for renting us your home.

Great Chincoteague Vacation

Pleasantly surprised and would book this rental in the future!
We were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed staying in this rental. We usually stay on the other side of the island. We were worried about it being one of the older homes, but it has been beautifully decorated and modernized. The location was convenient to take walks, shop, bike, or just enjoy the wonderful enclosed front porch. Having a deli/convenience store across the street was handy too.

Affordable and comfortable cottage in Chincoteague
We rented this house for a week in August. Our extended family included myself, my husband, my two teenagers, and my mother and stepfather. The house (four bedrooms) had plenty of room for all. Although the house is quaint and historic (the neighbor told us that it was a parson's house that was actually moved to the site), the kitchen and bathrooms are modern and updated. We enjoyed cooking in the very well-equipped kitchen...there were plenty of pots and pans, a nice coffee maker, and even basic supplies such as oil, salt and pepper. The house is very clean, and although we don't have young children, there is a high chair and toys for those who have toddlers. There is off-street parking for a few cars and a comfortable living room with a television. The house is right across the street from J & B subs, where you can purchase snacks, subs, and pizzas. The house is right on Main Street, but a quiet end of the street and still a reasonable drive to the beach/National Park. The minor negatives: the house has window air conditioning units, not central air, so it is a little noisy when they are running full force although the units cool adequately. Also, no washing machine, but there is a clothes line outside. The outside shower was broken, but the owner was responsive and plans to get a plumber out to fix it. Other than that, we really liked the house and the character of the place. The price was great and we would rent again.

Absolutely Wonderful!!!
I can't tell you how much we enjoyed staying in this wonderful home. It had everything we wanted with the exception of a washer and dryer. It was spacious, warm and inviting. We hope to return again next year.

Great vacation house!
We really enjoyed our stay - location was great, close to water and downtown. We loved the sunset views. The sandwich store is cross the street, very convenient. If you want a relaxing place to stay and enjoy the island, this is a great pick! We loved it !

Relaxing vacation
The house is very comfortable and relaxing. Enclosed front porch is nice with partial water views. Decorated nicely!! Outdoor shower which is convenient, no laundry other than a clothes line. I would definitely rent this house again.

Memorable
The house was so comfortable, especially the front porch where we could relax and visit with old friends in the evenings. Beds were comfortable which is always a plus. Well located to enable the option to walk to town and events. Only down side was the view of the water was blocked by the run downed house across the street.

GREAT PLACE!!
My family and I loved this house! It is such a well kept home and very cozy. Everything was clean and anything we needed for cooking and/or to keep the little ones entertained was within the house. I would highly recommend this house to anyone who wants to get away and relax. It is also very comforting to come "home" to after a long day at the beach or out shopping and eating.
The only down side was there wasn't a washer/dryer, but there is a laundry mat just a couple blocks away.
GREAT VACATION HOME!!!!
..... Now back to reality until next summer....
