All appliances, furnishings, linens and equipment are new and top quality.

The house is set behind its own gates and within a gated domaine of 4 lovely individual private houses in a peaceful yet central area of La Flotte just 500m from the port and 50m from the seashore and sailing club.

The location of the house is the ideal base from which to explore the delights of the island.

First visit to the Ile de Re and this was a terrific introduction. Wonderful location, seconds away from the sea, in La Flotte a very pretty harbour town yet only a leisurely cycle to Saint Martin. Very comfortable and spacious, important as we are a family of 8. Good sized pool and well equipped.

The sitting room has plenty of seating a large corner chaise, a further large sofa, armchair and coffee table with a desk area. This room is south facing and opens directly on to the decked pool area via floor to ceiling glass sliding doors.

The tv area is also open plan and leads from the sitting room to the front hall with a large comfy sofa and wall mounted tv, dvd/bluray player and satellite box.

There are 4 bedrooms on the ground floor, Bedroom 1 with king size bed, Bedroom 2 with double bed, Bedroom 3 with full size bunk beds and truckle bed sleeping 3 and Bedroom 4 with 2 single beds which can be ziplinked to a super kingsize bed.

Bedroom 5 is on the first floor and has a kingsize bed, separate loo and ensuite shower room.

Ile de Re is a beautiful island. It measures 100m at its narrowest point and 15 km in length. It rests off the coast of La Rochelle connected by a 3km toll bridge; the island is dotted with nature reserves and therefore home to a wide variety of plant and wildlife. <BR><BR>It is protected from agressive new building and the villages therefore retain their original character - features have remained unaltered for centuries.
