We consider our house to be a gem of a place to spend your holiday and offers an ideal base from which to explore the island . The property is located within easy reach of facilities yet is tucked away behind a private, gated entrance with three other properties. Our home offers a safe and secluded environment yet is located just 100m from the coast and promenade and 600m from the centre of La Flotte with its interesting year round market and diverse range of shops, restaurants, market and other facilities.Our house is simply furnished but it is clean and practical and offers comfortable accommodation for 6 people. The house works well for couples, adult groups and families with children of all ages.

This was our sixth stay at 15 Chemin de la cote. The house just keeps calling us back! It has every amenity we could wish for, is secure, with a large garden that gets the sun all day ( but there is also plenty of shade) and is flat and safe for children. It is on the outskirts of the...

Lovely house and great location. Brilliant facilities .Thoroughly recommended .la. Flotte is walking distance and it's great to cycle from, daily market was excellent and only 5 mins away

About the neighbourhood
The Ile de Re is one of the jewels of the Atlantic coast and measures 30 km in length and 5 km at its widest point. The island is composed of ten villages, which each respect the typical architecture of the area with their streets of white washed walls, green shutters and hollyhocks. With over 70 km of coastline, it also offers extensive sandy beaches making it a haven for watersports enthusiasts. The island is also a paradise for cyclists with about 100m of dedicated cycle paths and trails which link the 10 villages together.
