Maison Fleurie is a recently refurbished and interior designed house within the historic walled town of St Martin de Re. It is located in a peaceful lane, moments away from the beautiful harbour and market of this historic town.

The house is unusual for St Martin in that it has a large amount of both internal and external space. The house itself has 4 bedrooms and can easily accommodate 2 families to a total of eight people. There is a large open plan kitchen- dining- living space with a table to seat 8 people comfortably. The 2 bathrooms and kitchen have recently been refurbished to a high standard. The luxury of hot/cold aircon together with a log-burning stove make the house comfortable in all seasons.
In the garden there is a heated pool, parking, an eating area, a fashionable seating area and plenty of recreational space.

Comfortable, quiet, great location 5 mins by bike not much more on foot from the centre and the cafés, handy too to get out of St Martin by bike or car. Beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished. Spacious. Joy to stay in for family rental for two weeks. English owner with good local concierge firm made it a user-friendly rental. And...

Enter in through the walled garden to a covered verandah. The front door leads to a hall way, open plan reception area to the left with bedrooms to the right. The living space. The kitchen is new and well equipped. It is open plan internally, leading on to a lounge and dining area. There is a large dining table, enough to seat 8 with ease and a living space with comfortable sofa seating, log burning stove and Audio/Visual equipment. Wifi and cable TV are located in this room. French doors lead from the kitchen to the patio dining area, with a table and chairs for 8 and a gas bar-b-que. This sunny area further benefits from a retractable awning to provide shade. About the neighbourhood
St. Martin is the picture-postcard-pretty capital of the island. Its 17th century citadel and ramparts were built by Vauban, architect to Louis XIV, to protect the town from repeated attacks by the Dutch and English.
The quayside has many cafes, bistros and brasseries to enjoy oysters, and assorted seafood washed down with a glass of local wine as you watch the world go by.
Getting around
St. Martin as the island capital is the perfect base from which to explore. Being around the middle of the island means that you can visit all the 10 towns on the island with a bit of pedal power. Yet, there are also plenty of facilities within the town for those changeable days and those lazy days where all you want to go is go to the excellent local market and stock up, without having to go to far.

If you like in or around London then most people seem to use either Southampton-la Rochelle, Stansted-La Rochelle or Gatwick-Bordeaux to fly. If you want to take your own car the then overnight ferry to st malo is popular. As is the high speed ferry to Caen
