Surrounding the farmhouse are terraces made of traditional natural stone, leading at the front down to a large swimming pool measuring 13m x 3.5m. There is a BBQ one terrace up, perfect for watching your children in the pool .

Just returned from yet another lovely holiday at Finca Los Tigres, where previously I have walked and/or ridden (horses). However this time just relaxed in the sun with a a good book. Returned home refreshed and invigourated. The beach is within walking distance, about 20 minutes, where there is a great choice of bars for lunch time drinks and tapas. Wonderful.

Serenity in the sunshine
Finca los Tigres did exactly what it said on the web site. It was clean, spacious,traditionally modern (if that is not a contradiction) , well maintained and very comfortable. Everything worked and was where it should have been. The service was excellent, with everything explained. It's position on a knoll means that it enjoys good views to sea in the distance, enjoys a pleasant breeze and is wonderfully is quiet and serene . The various terraces with different aspects meant that there was always somewhere sheltered to sit and the pool was warm and welcoming. It was great to be able to sit and look down on the horses and to see the wild birds
The nearest big town of Carbonaras, with its market, bars, restaurants and splendid beaches is a absolute Spanish delight and we loved Agua Amarga for its simplicity, warm welcome, nice beach and good food.
I cannot recommend the Finca and its location more highly

Superb accomodation in stunning scenery!
We arrived late after a long journey and we were surprised by a wonderful basket full of first necessities for breakfast next morning, very thoughtful! The local manager was very hospitable and made us familiar with the premises. The accomodation is impeccable clean and the kitchen and bathroom are supplied with everything you need. After a good nights rest in luxurious beds we enjoyed our breakfast on one of the terraces with stunning views over the valley with horses grazing their own breakfast! Although the accomodation is self catering , our stay felt as if we were staying in a 4* hotel because of the complete and luxurious decor and the wonderful private infinity pool.
We'd love to return and we'd surely recommend this accomodation to everyone!

Lovely house in fantastic surroundings
Just returned from a fortnight's family holiday with our three sons (18, 20 and 22) at Finca Los Tigres - our first trip to Spain. The house is really lovely with surreal views over the Cabo de Gata national park. We really felt like we were away from it all but at the same time the seaside village of Agua Amarga was just five minutes away with a gorgeous beach and good places to eat. The house is very well equipped with a high standard of furnishings both inside and out. We loved the solid outdoor wooden chairs, that were so comfortable, and the huge parasols, much needed in the brilliant sunshine. The pool is a great size so we could get some "proper" swimming done and there's a choice of really nice outdoor spots to sit and chill. The bedrooms have excellent air conditioning, which we hadn't realised before we went, but that was an essential for the warm nights. There are some really nice touches too, like the welcome hamper on arrival, lots of towels, dressing gowns and even slippers! The caretaker is very helpful and friendly and we even had visits from the adopted cat Squeaky and two friendly neighbouring dogs.
There's a good mix of things to see and try (would recommend scuba diving with the company based in Agua; a boat trip from Las Negras; a drive to Nijar then beyond; a visit to Granada and nearby mountain towns including Lanjaron) but when you don't want to be out and about, it really is a perfect day chilling at the house by the pool.
All in all, a fantastic holiday for everyone.

A wonderful, comfortable house in a great location
Finca Los Tigres is a very comfortable, well equipped and superbly located house. The views are entrancing and the walking and swimming are a joy. We loved it so much we booked to return in September.

superbe maison
Maison magnifique, située dans un cadre exceptionnel.
Belle maison où tout est fait pour que les locataires soient bien installés et bien reçus.
nous avons même été accueillis avec un panier où nous avons trouvé : vin, confiture....
On se sent un peu comme chez soi dans cette maison.Beaucoup d'ingredients et d'équipements de cuisine et de plage sont à disposition. C'est très agréable.
très belle vue, très belle piscine. Parfois l'endroit est venteux

Ideally located, restful - perfect peace in luxurious surroundings
Very well appointed accommodation, beautifully cleaned and maintained. Wonderful location yet only a few minutes from the sea and the delights of a pretty little village. Plenty of good restaurants nearby and lots to see and do if you can tear yourself away from the sun terrace and pool.

About the neighbourhood
Agua Amarga is a small, unspoilt, fishing village of just 200 permanent inhabitants, located in the province of Almería in Andalucia, in the south eastern corner of Spain.With its traditional white buildings and 800 metres of beach,overlooked on one side by the Faro (lighthouse) de la Mesa de Roldán, Agua Amarga is as picturesque a setting as you’ll find in Spain for a relaxing and memorable holiday.Sailing opportunities abound for visitors of all experience, whether just for fun or if you are looking for something more ‘intense’. It is possible to hire motor boats, catamarans and small pedal boats in Agua Amarga.There are Fiestas in our Market Town of Carboneras, especially on 12 October (San Antonio). The Spaghetti Westerns were filmed close to Agua Amarga and there are Western Parks with fun shoot-out shows (see our own website for details) More recently the film Sexy Beast' with Ben Kingsley was shot in the village. The village is famous for its artists : painters and photographers have been coming here from all over the world for the scenery, the light and the exceptionally beautiful, rugged landscape.
Getting around
You will need a rental car. The nearest railroad station and bus station are in Almeria City, 53 km. There is a taxi service in Agua Amarga. We recommend Costa Coches as a car rental service. Please say to them Finca los Tigres sent you.

DIRECTIONS TO FINCA LOS TIGRES AND HIPICA AGUAMARGA
From the Almeria International Airport, take the Autovia del Mediterraneo in the direction Murcia. Please note: The first roundabout you come to shows the old, slow road to Murcia. Drive on underneath an underpass and cross over a big roundabout with an Indalo sign in the middle of it.
This road leads directly to the Autovia del Mediterraneo, A7. (Should you accidentally have taken the first exit, the road will finally hook up with the Autovia but it will take more time.) On the Autovia, take Exit 494, signposted Carboneras N-341, take the exit signposted Agua Amarga. This road will take you directly to Agua Amarga. Turn right at KM3.700 sign, follow signs to Finca los Tigres
