About the neighbourhood
Bwthyn Gwyrdd is 22 km north of Carmarthenshire and 22km south of the seaside town of Cardigan. With plenty of mainstream shops based in Carmarthen and some beautiful galleries and art centres in the town of Cardign. With the roads easy to drive with little traffic even at the height of the season you can watch the beautiful scenery unfold and change throughout the day.
How to get there
From the village of Drefach Felindre, go over the hump-backed bridge and up the valley to Cwmpengraig. Keep on this road for a further half mile and take a sharp right at the telephone box passing The Soar Chapel (down on your right). Continue up the hill that passes to the left of the Chapel. Look for Pant Y Ffynnon on your left. From Carmarthen, take the A484 towards Cardigan, at Cynwyl Elfed take the left turn towards Hermon. After about 5 miles take the next right hand turn (by a layby) after the turning to The National Woollen Museum (brown road sign), drive down the hill for approx 1.5 mikes and at the bottom of the hill at the crossroads turn right, Pant y Ffynnon is the second house on the right, the driveway to Bwthyn Gwyrdd is just before the house.
