Ideal home base for island attractions.
House backs on to the golf course & approx.10 min. walk to ferry, shops, cafes, restaurants and hotel plus Penneshaw Beach & Penguin Centre. Property has heat/cool airconditioning, internet, ensuite, laundry, smart TV's in the two Queen bedrooms, equipped kitchen & outdoor BBQ, plus ample parking for cars and boat. Please no foreign/menstrual items, grease or sand in toilets or sinks as septic system is in use. Please note that costs will increase depending on number of bedrooms required. (ie. one bedroom booked includes the use of one bathroom. For the use of two bedrooms or of all three bedrooms required,this includes the use of two bathrooms). A Lovely Stay
Two nights not enough to see all KI but a lovely stay in this Penneshaw accommodation. Very comfortable, and enjoyable. Recommend picking up a KI wine and bringing it back for dinner (to avoid the kangaroos at dusk).

Lovely place, would definitely stay again.
It was absolutely lovely. Would definitely recommend. All amenities available, especially liked that they had washing machine and dishwasher. Kangaroo Island was beautiful would love to stay longer!

Perfect for us.
We were 3 couples there for 3 nights. Prior to our arrival Colin was easy to contact.
Upon arrival Colin met us at "Trading Places" where he took the time to show us about the house and answered any questions. He gave us written info and shared some local knowledge on places that proved really worth visiting, that were not well identified on the brochures. Great knowledge for those that like fishing.
The house (kitchen) had most things you could want. Bed rooms were a good size, beds comfortable, 2 nice bathrooms and great areas to relax.
Back yard is a work in progress but should be a great addition when completed. No back fence as yet. Backs onto the golf course which is lovely. Not too far to walk to the shops.
We had a fabulous time!

Enjoyable accommodation
Due to Qantas cancelling our flight we had to find last minute accommodation in Penneshaw. Trading Places was a perfect spot for our one night stay with excellent information given to us by Colin to locate the place - in the dark!
The house was well appointed, clean, good location with fast wifi. Everything we needed for a one night stay. Would have liked to stay longer but not sure I would have endured the very soft mattress for more than one night.

About the neighbourhood
Quite seaside town with basic shops and restaurants, nice sandy beach and great boat marina. Scrapes golf course. Access to wildlife viewing including nightly penguin tours. The historic meeting place of Matthew Flinders and Nicholas Baudin. Good rock, jetty and beach fishing. Fantastic views from different vantage points.

Your own car is best. You can walk around town. Bus and private tour guides available.

How to get there
Sealink car ferry runs many times a day. Consider car hire on the island as an option to bringing your own car across on the ferry. Once on the Island Sealink runs bus tours of popular spots. Otherwise private tours can be arranged. Your own or a hire car is the best option. The house is a short walk to town centre.
