An 680 sf, 2-story, private mother-in-law structure on south-facing waterfront property on Maury (Vashon) Island with spectacular Mount Rainier views, beach-access, and located close to Pt.Robinson lighthouse. Beautiful interiors, a wood stove to curl up next to, a kitchenette. Cozy, rural, quiet and comfortable!<BR><BR>The bathroom, eating space, and wood stove are on the main floor and the sleeping area is upstairs in the loft. Upstairs there is a queen bed and a smaller daybed (28" wide) that would work for a child or small adult. we were flying out to visit good friends in virginia and decided to stay and explore around seattle for a few days. my husband choose vashon island and this spot. WOW!! amazing place, amazing view and very fun artistic decor. reclaimed wood and drift wood used in so many fascinating ways. all beach theme, whites and linens, taupe and glass...

We stayed for just one night. It was just what the doctor ordered. We basically didn't see another person while we were there. The setting is wonderful. We had a restful walk down on the beach; a remarkably-reasonably-priced and very respectable dinner at the nearby golf course restaurant; and enjoyed a bottle of wine around the fire outside in the...

This is a charming little cottage in a spectacular spot, and Lisa was so welcoming (even to our two black labs) and friendly and helpful. One of our dogs is 12+, and she wasn't keen on the uncarpeted floor and stairs, but my husband and I loved the cottage and hope to go back sometime..

About the neighbourhood
On a bluff, south facing, with stairs down to the beach. On a 3 acre property facing Mt. Rainier across Puget Sound. No houses other than the host's nearby. On a private bulkhead there are chairs and a fire pit, a cold water sink, and a gorgeous beach for your fishing pole, kyaking ($20/person), beachcombing. Spectacular late 1800s lighthouse and huge Marine Park within walking distance to the east and west.. Bring a fishing pole for silver salmon fishing from the shore in August or September, an air mattress & bathing suit to float on in the summer, or enjoy the hammocks, fire pit ( as long as there 's not a burn ban) and a gas barbecue.
