The three bedroom suites in this Shooting Star home are well appointed and exceedingly comfortable. But floor-to-ceiling windows in the kitchen/dining/great room frame Jackson Hole Mountain Resort’s famous Hoback ski runs, so you might not spend as much time in your bedroom here as you otherwise might. This main public living space also has a stacked-stone wood-burning fireplace and multiple options of places to relax. (We love the sectional with brass-tack upholstery detailing that faces the fireplace and the mountains.) Kick relaxing up a notch with a soak in the outdoor hot tub on the patio off the great room.

In the summer, the covered, screened-in porch attached to the kitchen/dining/great room might be your favorite “room” in the house. Sit here and enjoy a fire while listening to the East Fork of Fish Creek, which burbles past about 30 feet away.
The overall aesthetic of this house is cozy contemporary and there are lots of layers of texture in the décor—think fur-covered accent pillows, rugs made from animal hides, and chunky throw blankets. Artwork ranges from photographs printed on metal (for that extra pop) to contemporary landscape oil paintings. Cabinetry is reclaimed barn wood. In the ground floor powder room is a custom metal sink detailed with engraving.
Along with the home’s kitchen/dining/great room, the ground floor has the junior master suite. This has a king size bed; a double, marble-topped vanity; a modest walk-in closet; and a tiled, walk-in shower.
Also on the ground floor are the home’s laundry room and access to the attached two-car-plus garage.
The master suite, a guest suite, and a bonus room are upstairs. The bonus room has a television, table with seating for four, a queen size Murphy bed and barn door allowing for supplemental sleeping positions with privacy.
The views from the master suite are in the opposite direction from Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, but they are equally inspiring as the views of the ski area from the ground floor. Floor-to-ceiling windows at the foot of the king size bed frame Sleeping Indian. Immediately in front of these windows is a sitting area that might be the best place in the house to enjoy a morning cup of coffee. (These windows face east, so you’ll get to see the sunrise in addition to the Sleeping Indian).
The master bathroom includes a deep soaking tub, a separate WC, an oversize walk-in shower with a built in bench, a large walk-in closet, and a gas, stacked-stone fireplace.
The upstairs guest suite, which looks out on Après Vous Mountain and the northern half of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, also has a king size bed and attached bathroom. If the Murphy bed is being used, a second entrance to this bathroom, located off the hallway, would be for guests staying in that space. If the Murphy bed is not being used, this bathroom is private for those staying in the guest suite.
Shooting Star, one of the most in-demand neighborhoods in Jackson Hole, is located in Teton Village, at the base of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. In winter, there are complimentary shuttles to the ski lifts, or the lifts are about a 20-minute walk. In summer, Jackson Hole’s amazing pathway system connects the neighborhood to Teton Village, Wilson, and downtown Jackson.
