This comfortable, well-maintained, beautifully decorated 3BR/2BA townhouse alongside the Moab Golf Course, is a home away from home in the perfect location just 4 miles south of town on the EAST side of the valley, ten minutes from Center and Main St. We have a splendid patio with morning sun and afternoon shade. Castillo is an 18 unit project that was very well laid out with lawn, trees, one of the nicer pools with fewer people to share it, and close to the nature you come here to see. The townhouse can sleep a maximum of six with 3 couples. Downstairs King bedroom has a full bath and private door to the wrap around patio. (Morning sun on the patio, afternoon shade.) Both upstairs bedrooms have Queen beds. There is another full bath upstairs. This end unit has an el-shaped back patio with a propane barbecue and more privacy than most, situated on the northeast corner of the project. Morning sun on the patio. There is an upstairs deck as well. There is a shade structure and changing rooms at the pool. Have a look at the photographs of our immediate neighborhood, there are quite a few of them. It is the best townhouse location away from the noise and chaos of town and highway, and just a few minutes from town. WALK out your door, up the road past petroglyphs, and along the east side of the golf course into the redrock of the Mill Creek rim. It is a family-friendly place in a quiet residential neighborhood as far away from the highway on the west side of the valley as you can get. I'll say it again, the best feature of all is our location. Lots more condos are being built, but most are in the midst of the hubbub. Our neighborhood is the quietest. I urge people to get out into the 'back of beyond”, but if you don’t have the time to disappear into a forgotten canyon with backpack and MRE’s, these townhouses have all the comforts of home, but where you can literally walk out your door, up the road, and into a place and a time out of mind. Steelbender trailhead is up the road, where it switchbacks down into Mill Creek Canyon. Mill Creek Canyon is extraordinary. Ancient civilizations to present day inhabitants of the area have enjoyed it's many remarkable features. Stunning Geology, water year round in this riparian canyon, flora and fauna in abundance,.. and shamanic art grace it's canyon walls. I have explored this region since graduating college in 1976. I was drawn to this place, as were so very many other like minded individuals, and moved to Moab with my Lisa in 1997, where we have come to love this community and cherish the diversity and generations of others who have settled these lands for hundreds and thousands of years. We lived in our first Castillo townhouse for ten years, during the last six of which we were building our own pueblo style home (by ourselves) a mile away as the crow flies. We manage the rental of our own and five other Castillo townhouses belonging to our friends and neighbors, a Solano 2BR townhouse in the project next door, and two Coyote Run houses.

A/C DIDN'T WORK we called Rob he came to look and got it running but the next morning the temp in the condo was 81 which is too warm that was with the a/c on and there is a note not to turn the a/c...More

This was a very unfair and hurtful review that I have no desire to take the time to respond to. But I will. They couldn't bother to call us, so would rather complain about everything under the sun and that we didn't have a hot...More

About the neighbourhood
Located in the heart of red rock canyon country, Moab is minutes from Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, the world famous Slickrock Bike Trail, river rafting and cool mountains. From the echoes of ancient cultures to evidence from the age of Dinosaurs, and amidst the Pinyon/Juniper forests of the Colorado Plateau that denote a unique natural interface of alpine and desert fauna and flora, the area abounds in treasures for the discoverer in each of us. With thousands of miles of jeep trails providing access to the most extensive catalogue of public lands in the lower forty-nine States, explore a world carved from the drainage of the last Rocky Mountain uplift from the western slope of the Rockies to the Grand Canyon.
How to get there
We are 4 miles south of town on the EAST side of the valley, away from the hubbub in town, and in an area that is markedly different from everything near the noisy, commercial, highway corridor on the WEST side of the valley. Walk out the door and up the road along the east side of the golf course past petroglyphs and into the red rock wilderness above us. The more adventurous can scramble on into the rimrock and access 'Johnson's Up On Top' mesa. Access to Steel Bender Trail and Mill Creek Canyon is just up the road,.. so our little part of the valley is as close as you can get to the magic you come here for, and one of the only places you can simply walk into it a step at a time.
