Holiday Rental House
Newly available for your San Diego get away, our updated 1928 craftsman bungalow has been our personal home for almost a decade. Technically a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 1,100 square foot home, though one of the bedrooms has been converted in to a lounge/den. Bedroom 1 is bright with a queen bed and Bedroom 2 has a king bed and cedar closet. Between the two bedrooms is a full bath with tub. The converted den has a queen sleeper sofa with memory foam topper. There is an attached spa like bathroom, with the best rainfall shower (which we miss desperately), and multiple doors leading to the outside living areas. All sleeping areas have blackout curtains to allow for lazy mornings. Kitchen is fully equipped, with recently replaced appliances including a washer and dryer. Living and dining room are open and perfect for entertaining, including board games, puzzles and stereo system with vinyl records. Apple TV and mini classic Nintendo also provide entertainment for all ages. The best part of the house though is truly the outdoor areas, which include a large table under a custom lit pergola and multiple seating areas. All landscaping professionally redone, and creates a magical oasis for relaxing, especially if you choose to enjoy the 4 person Hot Tub - always set at 102 degrees. The house is located a 10 minute walk from South Park restaurants and grocery stores in a peaceful pocket of the neighborhood on a quiet street. Blocks away from the 30th street breweries (many local brewery growlers are available for use), and less than 3 miles to Balboa Park, the Zoo, convention center and downtown. We also currently live 4 blocks away and are life long San Diegans, so we are readily available if you need any recommendations or assistance. The house is fully fenced and pets will be considered if the stay is longer than a week, with an additional deposit required. Still available for Comic-Con and Pride. Below is the Wikipedia description of the South Park neighborhood: “South Park stands out in San Diego for its tree-lined streets, compact blocks, and walkable business district. Predominantly a single-family residence area with some small apartment buildings and bungalow courts, it is noteworthy for its fine and varied collection of Craftsman and Spanish Colonial Revival style homes built between 1905 and 1930. These include works by Irving Gill, William S. Hebbard, and Richard Requa. Many of the houses are historically designated and an official historic district has been in the pipeline for a number of years. South Park has been gaining repute for its small businesses since the 1990s, and has long been home to a group of residents diverse in income, age, sexual orientation, and race. Pedestrianism, like in other urban mesa neighborhoods north of Balboa Park, is high relative to the rest of San Diego.[6] The elevation is about 200 feet above sea level but reasonably flat within most of the area. 30th Street forms its main business district and has been called the nation's best craft beer boulevard by Men's Journal.[7] The area is home to several churches, popular restaurants and cafes, grocery stores, taverns and wine bars, art galleries, a dog wash, a yoga studio and other business concerns. The main road running North and South through the neighborhood is 30th Street, which is marked for both cars and bicycles and is served by the number 2 line bus.[8]”More

The location was great and in the middle of everything we wanted. Downtown, beach, Balboa Park, Gaslamp Quarter, great restaurants. We loved the neighborhood and wish we lived there! The home was very nicely furnished, loved the hot tub and beds were comfortable. We would...More
