The cabin is nicely built with a lot of windows. The location is good, not far from the city, yet dark enough for Aurora. There is a very nice trail near the cabin, which leads to the very quite and peaceful forest. Simon is very kind: he gave us a lot of information and made sure we had all the...

Booked this cabin for my boyfriend's birthday in February. As avid campers, not only were we excited to return to Alaska for our second trip, but thought a mid-winter trip to stay in a "dry" cabin would be adventurous. We LOVED it!! In fact, we were very sad to leave. It was such a treat to wake up each morning...

Really loved the cabin and location. Stayed here with my wife for 2 nights and although it was quiet it was still only a short drive to town. Simon was very helpful and gave us lots of useful information.

About the neighbourhood
The cabin is located in the Goldtream Valley, 12 miles from the city centre of Fairbanks and the University. There is easy road access to the cabins. You can park outside the cabin. You will need to have your own transportation to get to the cabin as there are no public transport to the area.

We have deliberately kept the cabins simple but yet comfortable and cozy. There is no television in the cabins. We wanted to create an environment that brought you back to nature. All our cabins have a low impact on the environment. It is place to come and recharge the batteries and replenish the soul. We are also able to offer you dog sledding and snow mobile trips. You can cross country ski from outside your doorstep onto the many miles of ski tracks.

There is also a ski field 10 minute...

How to get there
Airport: Fairbanks: 16.0 km
Railway: Fairbanks: 16.0 km
To get to O'Brien Street, look up google maps. When you are on O'Brien Street, Keep driving down till you pass Jaime Way on your right. Then take the first driveway on the right. Continue down the drive straight through to the end as it winds to the right and stops at a path at the end of the driveway. There is a small turn-around area at the end. The trail to the cabin is left into the trees. There will be a sign pointing to the “Pond Cabin”. Follow that path till you get to the cabin straight ahead and it will be unlocked. Please note that depending on the snow conditions and if you have a 2 wheel drive car, you may need to stop at the top of the driveway and walk to the cabin.
