As a maker, tinkerer and interior design enthusiast the space is set up for comfortable live/ work conditions. Speedy internet, large work surfaces that multifunction as dining space, open floor plan with lots of room to spread out projects or materials, or co-work without feeling claustrophobic. The comfy lounge area is set-up to relax after all that creative work is done. Watch a movie on the projector and see what’s on the apple TV. I also love to cook so the kitchen is fitted with all the essential for making a meal for 1 or 10. All four bedrooms have queen size beds, with memory foam mattresses and super luxe bedding (quality sleep is essential to keep the creative brain in tip top shape). Nearly a native New Yorker I moved to the city as a kid from Puerto Rico where I now spend about half my year as a semi retired Nuyorican. I’m sure you can guess which half of the year I spend in PR. I love New York but my days battling the harsh winters are over. However I’m happy to offer my place as refuge to the brave souls who find themselves in New York during the tundra months. Since this in my personal home it is important to me that the space is inhabited by longer term guests who would like a home while they’re in New York. Preferably as creative corporate housing or groups coming to live/ work in the city or lovely families needing a space as they transition in or out of the city. Ideally I’d like folks looking for 1-3 months. This is my personal home which I have curated over the years and am therefore looking to get the best possible guests who will truly appreciate and take care of my space. For that reason I don’t put any mark up on it. I charge my costs of rent, average utilities and cleaning to maintain the space. Because there’s no profit I do charge a larger deposit incase of any damages. I also have a wonderful assistant Cass who manages the space when I’m away, she’s an excellent host. About the neighbourhood
Clinton Hill / Fort Greene is one of New York's most dynamic and well-rounded neighborhoods. Combining the perfect mix of historic buildings and artistic dwellers, it is well known as one of the coolest neighborhoods in New York City. Starting as far back as the 1840's this area was known as a fashionable area for the social elite of Brooklyn who would commute into Manhattan by stagecoach.
