The space This modern home has all the amenities, a quiet location, and proximity to all that Seattle has to offer. Each of our homes has been decorated to pay homage to a fun and meaningful theme. This home is filled with authentic art and artifacts from all over Africa. The collection was built by the homeowner during the course of a lifetime of business and leisure travel to the continent! There are 3 bedrooms in this home, and each bedroom has an en suite bathroom! On the top floor of the home is the master suite, with king bed, walk in closet, and master bath with dual sinks and separate bathtub/toilet area. The master suite also has a balcony from which guests can enjoy a morning coffee while enjoying views of Lake Washington and the Cascade Mountains in the distance. Just down the the hall is a second bedroom, which has a queen bed, walk in closet, and its own and en suite bathroom. The laundry room sits between the two bedrooms, with side-by-side washer and dryer. The third bedroom is on the lowest level of the home, and it offers great flexibility. It is furnished with a twin over double sized bunk bed (solid and sturdy --- not just for kids!). This room has an en suite bathroom as well. This third bedroom offers direct access to the spacious yard beside the house, which is equipped with a BBQ and table for al fresco dining. Between the two sleeping floors is the main living area. This open concept space has a chef's kitchen with hard wood floors, gas cooktop, and stainless steel appliances. This flows directly to the dining area which includes stools at the breakfast counter, and a dining table that seats 8-10. Continuing from the dining room is the living room, furnished with plenty of seating, a nicely loaded cable TV package, and a DVD player. There is a queen size sleeper sofa (with highest end sofa bed mattress on the market) for larger groups. Enjoy our collection of games in front of the gas fireplace. The main living floor also features a powder room. During warm months, the home is equipped with a portable air conditioner in the living room. Guest access Access to the home is provided without a cumbersome lock box or key exchange. Instead, you will choose a 4 digit code, and the electronic lock to the home will be programmed work your code for the duration of your stay. You will have access to the entire home, including garage parking for one car (and plentiful free street parking for additional vehicles). You also have a dedicated storage unit, as well as bicycle storage (both available with prior arrangement). Interaction with guests Your hosts, Andy and Lynne, live just down the block. We are here to welcome you and help you with any of your needs during your stay. We are happy to offer you advice for sightseeing and restaurant recommendations. Guests will receive, in advance, our comprehensive homemade visitors' guide to Seattle, packed with our personal recommendations for dining, activities, and much more. Do you plan to cook during your stay? By special advanced arrangement (depending on availability), we will fulfill your grocery list and have your home stocked for your arrival.More

About the neighbourhood
The neighborhood This home is central to everything Madison Valley has to offer: great restaurants, parks, hiking, supermarkets, day spas, and more. Your hosts made Madison Valley their home when settling in Seattle 5 years ago... and haven't looked back since. We love walking the streets of this neighborhood, and we will gladly suggest fun walks depending on your interests. Stroll to the beach at Madison Park. Walk by multi-million dollar estates. Discover hidden neighborhood gems such as the farmhouse with horses in the yard and the home that doubles as an eclectic art studio and antique truck gallery. Take a walk through the fabled Arboretum to Lake Washington. Once you have worked up your appetite, enjoy the countless restaurants that Madison Valley ('Little Paris') has to offer. In ...
