Fourth visit to this wonderful home.
We love Newcroft and Comrie so much we have now visited four times. The house is cosy in Winter and in Summer has the lovely garden and sitooterie. This is obviously a much loved house and personal touches such as fresh flowers make it feel like a real home, even if sadly for us just for a week at a time. Marianne, the owner is friendly and easy to contact and leaves a wonderful welcome hamper! The bed in the main bedroom is extremely comfortable with lovely bed linen and the kitchen is well supplied with crockery, pans etc. Comrie is a friendly place with good shops for everyday items. The Deil's Cauldron restaurant is definitely worth booking and Hanson's Kitchen and The Comrie Cafe also provide tasty food. There are many good walks in the area and Cultybraggan Camp has some interesting displays on camp life and is worth a visit. If you want a relaxing place to stay, this is the place. I'm sure we will be back again.

Thank you for coming to visit Newcroft again for the fourth time! I think you must have stayed in all seasons now. It is good to know that you love the Newcroft and Comrie as much as we do. Comrie is a great village and we are really fortunate to have so much on the doorstep to explore and enjoy. Hopefully we can welcome you again for the fifth time at some point in the future!

Wonderful cottage and Wonderful setting Great for a short or a long break, the welcome basket was a brilliant touch,
Newcroft Cottage, is situated in the village of Comrie in the county of Perthshire and therefore it is not too far from Perth, and is very close to its neighbouring town Crieff. It is at the southern edge of the highlands and has many interesting walks close by, which are by the way not too far from the cottage. The cottage is very very comfortable and and set in a nice location close to the river Earn. There are three bed rooms 1 x Double, 1 x Twin Bedded and 1 room with bunk beds. There are a variety of interesting shops close by and really nice places to eat, though the cottage has a fully fitted kitchen and dining table. For those of us who enjoy walking there are some easy and difficult walks close by or can travel within a short distance to more complex walks or climbs. The great thing about this location can be as remote as you wish or you can travel to Stirling, Edinburgh or Glasgow within a very short time. The information sheet and home guide was just great, that and the welcome basket was a brilliant touch and made our stay much more comfortable. Comrie can be a quiet community but has various restaurants and cafes, a chip shop and a cinema in a converted church - White Church. Check online for fishing activities, Comrie Croft is near by which host bike hire and off road cycling. If you're thing is outdoor activity this area and this cottage is for you. I have recommend this gem of a cottage to friends and family already so hope that I can still book it in the future.

Warm, comfortable and well situated
Just back home from a week staying in Newcroft. One of the best properties we've stayed at in Comrie, warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The generous welcome pack was a nice surprise, and the house has just about every amenity you'd want. A well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, quality linen and towels, and a full Sky TV package. Right in the middle of the village, and just a couple of minutes walk to the shops. Riverside location, and plenty of private offroad parking for a couple of cars. We didn't use the bikes or barbecue, but were impressed by the range of equipment in the garage for guests use. Set back from the road, so very quiet at night. Only 5 minutes walk to the excellent Deil's Cauldron restaurant. Great location for experiencing the Perthshire Hills. No hesitation in returning in future. Thanks Marianne for your hospitality.

Thank you so much for this lovely review! I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We are just back after a fantastic New Year at Newcroft enjoying the Comrie Hogmanay celebrations which are world class! We also enjoyed an excellent meal at the Deil's Cauldron - we are incredibly lucky to have such a brilliant restaurant within walking distance - the food, service and atmosphere are second to none in the many years that we have been going there now. We are glad our guests think the same! I hope to welcome you back again one day! Many thanks for coming to stay. Hapoy 2020. Marianne

Cosy, well equipped cottage.
I've stayed here a few times , with friends on walking weekends. Absolutely spotless, modern decoration with a personal touch, and very well equipped for 6 people. Good parking and access. Full Sky package and fast WiFi. Comrie is a good location for exploring the area, with a small supermarket a choice of restaurants and other shops. We'll definitely be going back.

Perfect Family Holiday Home
Stayed at this gorgeous holiday home with my daughter, son in law and my grandchildren. Such a lovely home, with a large family kitchen, that has a large round table that gives you a opportunity to share family holiday meals, and when the children are in bed, a great sociable room to sit with a drink and share the day’s memories. The lounge as the whole house is really well maintained and the decor is modern chic with a condo vibe. The garden is a lovely space to enjoy family time, with an outdoor table that is covered so you can enjoy outdoors rain or shine, a great garden for a family barbecue The bedrooms are super, all beds are comfy. The extra touches are care are throughout and I can’t recommend this holiday home enough. I simply loved it

Stunning home from home holiday home
We are just back from a week at Newcroft, which can only be described as the perfect holiday home. Marianne has created the perfect sanctuary in the heart of the delightful little town of Comrie. Upon entering the house your shoulders instantly relax and you feel perfectly at ease. Unlike other more sterile holiday cottages Newcroft has beautiful little personal touches throughout and feels instantly welcoming. From the beautifully presented bedrooms, fluffy towels and gorgeous family kitchen Newcroft simply has it all! It's location is perfect just sitting behind the Main Street with the river on your doorstep...it is a million miles from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Fresh croissants can be bought from the lovely deli (literally) round the corner, or tasty bacon rolls straight from the bakery. For a little evening drink is the comfortable Royal Hotel with finer dining to be found at the renowned Deils Cauldron. I would not hesitate to recommend Newcroft to any of my friends or family. I cannot wait for my next visit. Thank you Marianne for a gorgeous week in your lovely home from home . Emma

The very generous & well thought out Welcome Pack provided by the owner ,Marianne, was very much appreciated. The house itself was tastefully decorated with many personal touches & was very well equipped. We would highly recommend especially to dog owners because of the enclosed back garden & close proximity to walks & amenities both local & in the surrounding area.

A beautiful home ina stunning village
A beautiful cottage in a stunning village. The cottage is on a quiet road, facing the river; you’d never know you were a 30 second walk from the heart of the village and all the fabulous shops there. The house itself had everything you could need, and felt like coming home each night after a day of exploring (albeit much tidier, cleaner and nicer than my actual home). The communication from Marianne was fantastic and the helpful information on local shops and activities left in the house for use was incredibly helpful. My great grandma also loved reading the books about Scotland that were there. Comrie is a beautiful village full of wonderful food; we sampled the fish and chip shop, the bakery, the deli and The Royal Hotel and everything we ate was superb. There are plenty of things to do in and around Comrie, and the village itself is a walkers dream; we walked up to Deil’s Cauldron, which is a beautiful waterfall in the village. We visited Auchingarrich Wildlife Park, which has loads a animals, including lots of cute babies that you could hold in the hatchery, along with some great play areas for the kids, some delicious food in the cafe and stunning views. It’s also a quick 15 minute drive into Crieff, which is a bit bigger and has supermarkets & shopping along with visitors centres and more activities. And it’s only and hour to Edinburgh, where we spent a day at the zoo. I could not recommend Marianne’s beautiful home more.

Ideal also für zwei Wochen Aufenthalt. Ich kann es nur wärmstens empfehlen!
