Overview
Cottage -
1 Bedroom , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 2
Penrhyndeudraeth, Gwynedd, North Wales, Wales
Idris Bach is laid out over three floors. It is a roomy, one-bedroom cottage for two people. All the rooms are bright and airy and there is central heating throughout, so it’s lovely and cosy all year round.

Idris (meaning 'fiery lord') was the name of the little dragon in the enchanting 1980s cartoon, 'Ivor The Engine', set in Snowdonia. It is also the name of a stunning mountain near Dolgellau (Cader Idris). We decided to name our cottage (and our dragon) Idris Bach ('Little Idris') in honour of that little dragon. 'The Complete Ivor The Engine' DVD is provided in the cottage for you to discover/reminisce during your stay.

Had a very comfortable week stay in this charming cottage. After a day exploring Snowdonia, stunning beaches or Portmeirion it was great to be able to relax on the sofa or crash out in the king size bed. Great shower too. Was great to find a bottle of wine and Welsh Cakes upon our arrival (after a long drive up)....

Just got back from a great week at Idris Bach cottage. Greeted by tea bags, a packet of Welsh cakes, milk in the fridge and a bottle of wine. What a lovely welcome! Also not forgetting the lovely little dragons in the lounge area! The kitchen was very well equipped so we ate in most evenings having bought something nice...

A comfortable and well equipped home from home with lovely views across the estuary out the back. The added touches of a welcoming bottle of wine, welsh cakes, pint of milk in the fridge and tea bags were appreciated. The kettle in the bedroom is a good idea as it saves carrying full cups of hot drinks up two flights...
