How to get there
One of our trips coming down to Padre Island, we made a point of taking the scenic route thru the hill country just north of San Antonio. Going thru a quaint little town of Fredricksburg. Driving around Canyon Lake was also nice to see. Another time was a weekend in San Antonio to visit the Alamo and do the Riverwalk. All were very cool experiences.
