The cottage was just the right size and had many amenities including a washer and dryer. The cottage is close to the road so there was some traffic noise. Kawaihae is probably the driest and warmest area of the Big Island but there were breezes that wafted through the cottage. The back bedroom was far from the little air conditioner but it was sleepable. On the last night, the power went out in 3 areas around the cottage for 2 hours. The owner and her mother were GREAT and found out what they could for us. Luckily, the power came back after only 2 hours. All in all, it was a terrific little place for a vacation.
