Stowmarket, Suffolk, East Anglia, England
Cocketts is a 16th century listed cottage nestled along a country lane in the heart of Suffolk. It has oak beams, wonky floors and a large inglenook fireplace with log burning stove. However it is equipped to a high standard with all mod-cons expected these days; comfy seating, quality linen, an attic den with PS3 and games and toys for all ages.
Sleeping 6 in 2 kingsize bedrooms, and a twin, there is also a double futon, and a single futon if needed in the attic den to stretch to 8 or 9 at a push! (1 kingsize bed can be made into 2 x 2ft 6" singles should you prefer that). There is an acre of garden, with an enclosed 'safe' area for little ones just outside the back door, which has the benefit of a wooden playhouse and outdoor toys. The west facing patio with teak table and chairs allows you to enjoy the evening sun...

Interaction with guests
We live next door, but won't crowd you. We live quite busy lives so our arrangements for your arrival are quite independent of us being around. However we will pop and say hello, and if you prefer, we can arrange to show you around the house. We try to keep up to date information about what's on in the cottage, and of course we are able to help out with any problems you have.

The isolated location of this place is incredible, as is the garden and kitchen! We rented to cottage for work for which it was great but it's clearly set up for a family getaway. The owners were very helpful and friendly through the whole process and even posted some glasses we left behind. Suffolk itself it lovely, would highly recommend...

Management response:

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I'm glad you enjoyed your time here. Perhaps you'll think of Suffolk next time you're looking for a UK getaway?

A three year old entranced by the goats and chickens and nearby rare bread centre, a one year old contented with company and crawling and parents and grandparents happy to all be together in such a delightful spot, with comfortable surroundings and safe and beautiful grounds. Thank you.

Great location- garden full of spring flowers. Stayed for three nights while attending family wedding and wished we could have stayed longer. Immaculately clean, and very comfortable . Fantastic selection of toys for children of all ages. Our two grandsons loved the playhouse, the goats and especially the hides hole next to the fire place. We would love to come back...

Additional Rate and Availability Information
Please note : These prices shown on TripAdvisor/Holiday Lettings are approximate. They are calculated using a per night pricing formula which is not as flexible as that used on our own website for Cocketts.
The effect is that prices for longer stays usually appear too high and those for short stays may be too low. We also offer a low occupancy discount that can't be reflected here easily.

Please enquire and we will confirm the accurate price.

Our price is fully inclusive of linen and towels, electricity and heating. A welcome pack is provided and an initial basket of logs for the woodburner.

Holiday Lettings/trip Advisor will also charge you a booking fee.

Friday is our preferred changeover day for weekly stays, but we can often be flexible - more likely in low season.
