How to get there
Take the A28 to Viana do Castelo.
Continue on the A27 which connects directly to the IC 28 in Ponte de Lima.
If the option was the A3 motorway exit in the direction of Arcos Valdevez / Ponte da Barca - IC28 - following straight for 17 km.
After crossing the bridge over the river Lima, already close to Ponte da Barca, at the roundabout take the direction Lindoso / Espanha.
Follow straight for 5 km, until you see on the left the arrow/sign "Barragem Touvedo" , after having passed two semaphores speed limiters.
Pass over the dam.
!00m after, some gps devices tell people to follow by a dirt road on the right side. Please don’t follow that and keep going by the road. It’s a mistake of Google Maps.
The road goes up for 2 km to a junction where you will see an arrow indicating "Casas de Alem" 3 km, to the right.
Follow straight ahead until you see another blue arrow, next to a picnic park and a little chapel.
Follow a narrow street with the indication of dead end and take the left side also indicated by a yellow arrow.
This street has just 100 m and takes you directly to the private parking of the “Casas de Alem” houses.
