Entrance to the property is after 3pm and the key is available in a key safe. We will also extend a courtesy visit to ensure that all is well. We also live nearby so are available in the event of any difficulties

Stayed here for a long weekend with other family members staying next door in Old Mill 2. Lovely cottage, equipped with everything you could need - and more! Comfortable, spotlessly clean and in a great location, just a few steps from shop, church and pubs. Small enclosed courtyard with outdoor furniture. Good walks straight from the door and footpath up...

Throughout the year, our beautiful home in Askrigg, North Yorkshire offers you the opportunity to spend time at the heart of one of England's most magnificent landscapes. <BR><BR>The cottage is located in the heart of upper Wensleydale in the picturesque village of Askrigg. In the 1970s this was the location for the village of Darrowby, which was the backdrop for the popular series, 'All Creatures Great and Small'. Getting around
Here in the Yorkshire Dales we are very proud of our Little White Bus which offers regular transport to Hawes or Leyburn. See their website for more details.

Trains run from Garsdale or Ribblehead station to Leeds, Settle and Carlise.

Taxis can be booked via Peacocks who are based in Bainbridge

Railway: Northallerton, Darlington or Garsdale: 50.0 km
Northbound from A1 - exit at Leeming Bar. Drive through, Bedale, and follow signs to Leyburn, then from there to Askrigg.<BR><BR>Southbound from A1 - exit at Scotch Corner and head towards Richmond. Follow signs for Leyburn. Do not go to Leyburn but continue to Redmire, Carperby, Nappa and then Askrigg.<BR><BR>From the North West there are several routes:<BR><BR>M6 Northbound/Southbound exit at Lancaster or Kendal turn off and head towards Sedburgh, Hawes and then Askrigg.
