About the neighbourhood
Guildford is a lovely old market town with cobbled high street, for shopping, a great mix of designer and multiples and lots of little cafes and good restaurants. Around Guildford there are lots of picturesque villages like Shere and Albury; Shere is often used for filming (Bridget Jones, The Holiday....) Shere has a really nice cafe - the Dabbling Duck (shabby chic style), good for a light lunch or tea. Then there's our local pub, William 1V - probably everyones idea of what a country pub should be, complete with grumpy landlord! Plus great countryside on our doorstep for walking / biking / riding.
Getting around
We are fairly secluded here; public transport isn't that accessible. Probably best to bring a car unless you are happy to arrive by taxi from Guildford station and are here to enjoy the walking or biking! Other stations are closer (Gomshall, Chilworth) but you would need to pre-book a taxi.
