Porthmadog, Gwynedd, North Wales, Wales
6 Oakley Wharf is a superb spacious ground floor apartment (4 star Visit Wales) on the picturesque quayside of Porthmadog Harbour. From the patio and living room there are extensive views over the harbour and Glaslyn Estuary towards Portmeirion with the Snowdonia Mountains forming the backdrop.
Located on the western side of the harbour the apartment is secluded and yet within a 5 minute walk are all the amenities of the town,.including the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland railways..
A short 15 minute walk in the other direction takes you to the seaside village of Borth y Gest. From there you can continue a glorious walk of expanding views across the estuary towards Portmerion and Harlech castle. There are numerous sandy coves accessible from this walk and for the energetic it continues along the 3 mile Black Rock sands to Criccieth. .

We are happy to offer advice and suggestions about access and places to visit. We have walked most of the hills and mountains so can offer more detailed information on less well trodden routes as well as the traditional ones. We live on the Lleyn peninsula so have plenty of ideas for places to visit on this beautiful and unspoilt gem of N Wales

We just keep coming back year after year. Great location and views that are too good really. If you're not careful, you'll find yourself staring your holiday away. Superb value for money, we've already booked for next year :-)
