Shore Croft was built to take full advantage of its unique situation, facing south above a pebbly beach on Loch Ewe, with panoramic views of the sea. The garden which is over an acre opens directly onto the beach and has several wildlife viewing points. The whole interior is beautifully designed, arranged and maintained. It is light, modern and luxurious. The sitting room and dining room/kitchen open onto wide decking from which a path leads to the garden gate which opens almost directly on to the beach. The house is extremely well equipped with an open fire in the sitting room. There are 4 bedrooms. A master bedroom with an en suite wet room and 3 twin bedrooms. As well as easily viewed landscapes of Wester Ross, Gairloch and Aultbea also has some of the most remote and wild (and roadless) land in all of the UK, notably north and west of Loch Maree

Aside from the impact of the landscape, there is also plenty to see. There are gardens at Attadale near Lochcarron, while Inverewe, north of Gairloch, has been a place of pilgrimage for generations of gardeners who come to wonder at the range of tender species which thrive in the mild climate. A twenty-minute drive over the headland from Gairloch takes you to the little village of Poolewe on the sheltered south side of Loch Ewe where the River Ewe rushes down from Loch Maree.Across the bay from Poolewe are the famous Inverewe Gardens, designed and planted by Osgood Mackenzie. Carry on along the coast for another 5 miles and you will come to the small village of Aultbea and then onto Mellon Charles at the head of the loch.The local airport is in Inverness which is 85 miles from Shore CroftA car is essential.
