Cabier supplies daily maid service to the villa and can assist with booking car hire and excursions. There is also free Wi-Fi throughout the property. In 2008, the owners came to Cabier by pure chance, fell in love with it and decided they if they were going to build a house anywhere in the world - it would be where Two Bays stands now. They finished building in January 2010. Hamilton House Studio
Hamilton House: Peter and I loved the studio unit. We loved the area, the peace and solitude. The pool was wonderful. We had everything we needed. There were some issues with the internet. It did not work most of the time.. This was not a big deal for us to be honest. We had our cell phones and if I needed to connect with the office I just went down to the lodge with my computer and did my emails and so forth from there. It gave me a chance to have a glass of wine from the bar and visit with those lovely girls that work there. Also to meet other guests. It would have been nice to have a barbecue to do some grilling. Other than that all top notch for us. We found the weather to be great. The water was a bit rough for snorkeling but we did other things. We hiked every morning around the area and then we were off to explore. We meant so many wonderful people. The locals are fun, kind and always so very helpful. We loved the laid back, relaxed atmosphere. It also felt very safe to me. We hope to be back again very soon. I think we would rent the entire house next time and bring our children and grandchildren. They would enjoy it. Thanks for opening your home to us.

The natural Caribbean- with knobs on!
I've just got back from an idyllic 10 days in the Bayside studio. I went with friends who were in the other studio (Beachside) and the main villa itself and I cannot think of a more relaxing rural place to be. It is off the beaten track and yet there is the luxury of a beautifully built villa, with all mod cons such as fluffy white towels, regular cleaning, a superb infinity pool and only a few steps to the lovely sand beach. There are outside showers down at the small hotel and outside the villa to rinse off the sand after a swim in the sea, and other touches such as full mosquito nets over the beds, so you can sleep happily without any worries. The views are on both sides of the bluff, down to the sandy beach from one side of the villa, or over the other, wilder bay from my studio. You can watch the freewheeling birds swooping for food, butterflies on the vibrant flowered shrubs, or locals coming down from the local village for a swim. We either ate on the large verandah at the villa, or went down to the small Cabier hotel restaurant, where the food is delicious and the rum punches enormous! I particularly liked the feeling of being away from it all, although I did also enjoy the odd day in St. Georges, either shopping or eating or sightseeing. If you want to experience rural Grenada in a luxurious way, then this would be for you.

We love it when our guests really enjoy our patch of rural and natural Grenada and the Caribbean as it used to be rather than the tourist orientated hotels.

Rustic, quiet and "native" accommodations
Two Bays is quite a distance (about an hour) from the airport and NOT to be attempted after dark! For those not accustomed to right hand drive cars, or driving on the left side of the road, your additional challenges are the absence of road signs and the continuous narrow, hairpin turns. Once you arrive, however, it is a delightful and eclectic retreat with a mix of simple basics, native surprises and a touch of French cuisine. Alexander was in charge of the accommodations- a kind, quiet man with a heavy German accent. He gave us our key and explained how to turn on the propane for cooking, where switches were (warning- plugs are European but they did have an adapter for US items) and how to slide the louvered doors. The kitchenette was fully stocked with blender, coffee maker, toaster (all European plugs), dishes, pots and pans & flatware. You must stop at a grocery for your food, drinks, paper towels, shampoo & sun block. The room pictured, looking out on the bay was our room #15 (no numbers on the door)- best view! The netting must be heavily sprayed with bug spray before bed. I never saw mosquitos, but have dozens of itchy bites on my legs!! Right next to the units was the infinity pool and sunning area. Delightfully warm and clean. It is a short walk from the "Two Bays" units down to the bar/restaurant area, the caged animal collection (parrots, turtles, iguanas, monkeys...) and then more steps down to the beach. The beach was usually vacant, had lovely shade under the palms, and lounge chairs available. The dining/bar area is run by Bruno and Iris who will do everything they can to please you with their delicious menus. I enjoyed their "three course meal" for dinner on 4 separate nights and had such items as calalloo and goat cheese quiche, parrot fish, bread fruit, ochre and creme' brulee. I highly recommend the pina coladas. Meals were about $30 US. We took a tour of the island with Iris, a driver and another couple. A very bumpy but entertaining 8 hours with stops at a fish market, abandoned airplanes, nutmeg factory, chocolate plantation, quirky lunch spot, waterfalls (complete with a cliff diver!!) and plenty of photo opportunities. While we were there, poor Bruno was suffering with kidney stones but Iris carried on, single handedly managing everything with grace and experience. This is not a place for those that would be offended by goat poop on the path or noisy crickets at dinner, but is more for those who want a natural adventure in an adequate, relaxing and naturally beautiful surrounding. Yes, there is Wifi, but no tv and you don't really want to keep those lights on at night to read if it will draw the mosquitos! We swam after dark, or stayed down at dinner with drinks and then were asleep by 9! If you snorkel or scuba, my sister says you will REALLY love Grenada for that sport, but perhaps you might spend your time in the southwest corner or western side of the island.

Two Bays at Cabier is very rural - it is as the original Caribbean used to be before mass tourism if experiencing a natural and beautiful Caribbean environment floats your boat. There are no screens and it is incredibly relaxing. We tell our guests that if they keep the outside veranda lights on when reading inside it distracts virtually all the insects. It is a different pattern of life there. To scuba or snorkel it is a 45 minute drive down to the St George's area - I do it as do a lot of ur guests for a two tank dive, but with the opportunity to come out of the urban tourist area down there to relax in beautiful surroundings afterwards at Cabier. A great place to stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Two Bays Bayside studio - the views are magnificent (which you can admire from the lovely infinity pool as well!) and the studio is well equipped and clean. The apartment does get quite hot but there are fans and you can pay for AC if need be. I'd definitely go back!

Couldn't be better
Location, facilities, people, food, beaches, rum etc, etc all fantastic. We stayed in a studio, wonderful views, very peaceful, very clean and all kitchen facilities. We caught or bought fish, cooked at home or on locals' grill down on the beach. Loved the pool, looking out over the stunning beach. Bruno is the soul of Cabier, his great personality, utterly charming, brilliant sense of humour and superb cooking (mahi mahi skewer lit at your table amazing, also lots of other dishes). How can he talk so many languages at equal speed to his own, making jokes all the time? The day trip he does of the island was brilliant, we did chocolate plantation (choc not my thing, thought I would have to endure this, it was fascinating), rum distillery (def my thing), nutmeg processing plant and waterfall (you jump off the cliff). Also the Hashes (country walks where you meet loads of people and see parts you never would otherwise) he can take you to are great fun. Try the souse (pigs trotters), yuck. The staff, especially Gaico (spelling?), Honest John and Gail were lovely, the guys will tell you where and how to fish and lots of local information. Shelley got involved with the petting zoo, helping out on a few mornings which she loved. And the dogs, especially Lassie. Iris was very caring when I hurt my foot and lights a mean skewer. A very special mention for Sophie, a french placement student, who made friends with Shelley and they did all the hashes together. A real treasure. Grenada is a very special place, very laid back and friendly. A bit of very low level hassle, but everyone ok when you just say no politely. More often people will offer tips about places to go, eat, fish etc. ALWAYS give people hitching a lift, they will tell you loads about local stuff, places etc. If you into fishing, there are the normal charters, about £500 a day. Or go to the fish market in Grenville (worth it just to see fish), ask for Chris, one of the women cutters, who will introduce you to one of the small boat skippers. This is hand-lining with the locals, we had 33 3-7lb tuna in about 3 hours. The deal was I paid for the gas, about £40, but the catch was so good, he only wanted £25. Saw my biggest Leatherback, even the guys were impressed and stopped the boat to watch. While in Grenville, go to the roti shop, £2.50 for a huge lambie (conch) roti, fantastic. Veg market round the back vg too. The underwater sculpture park is amazing. If you just turn up at Dragon Bay (great beach bar), Fresh will greet you and take you out in his rowing boat, show you the sights, about £15, well worth it. You can swim round for later trips if you have fins. Stunning snorkelling, barracuda (totally harmless, very inquisitive), lion fish unfortunately, but very beautiful, lobster, trumpet fish, the list is endless. The island rum at £5 a bottle is great, Iron Jack (70% abv) my very great favourite. Crochu (the village by Cabier) has a population of 900 and 75 rum shops. Our whole trip (except Virgin Atlantic on the way back) was one of the best holidays ever, so many memorable times and people. We will be going back.

Perfect Hide Away in Tropical Paradise
My wife and I visted Two Bays Bayside for a week at the end of March. We dithered as to what location we should stay at for our trip to Grenada. We eventually chose Two Bays as we wanted to experience the real Grenada and not be part of the holiday community at Grande Anse. We are so pleased we made that choice as Two Bays exceeded our expectations, a lovely remote location with fantastic views from the balcony and 2 minute walk to the secluded beach. The studio was fully serviced every day which we were not expecting and had excellent Wi Fi should you need it. The villa is adjacent to Cabier Lodge so meals and drinks are available on site at the terrace bar and restaurant. The whole place is run in a very relaxed atmosphere, the staff were friendly and courteous .We booked directly through the owner Nick at Hamilton Holidays who sent all the relevant information and made the whole booking process very easy. I would recommend hiring a 4X4 as Two Bays is off the beaten track and also makes an ideal base for exploring the rest of Grenada which is absolutely beautiful and full of character.

Wonderful Stay in the Real Carribean
We had a fantastic time and would not hesitate to return. You have done a great job in the design and setting of Two Bays. Sleeping with the shutters wide open with the sound of the ocean at night was so relaxing. The pool is great and ideally located. We enjoyed eating at Cabier and Iris and Bruno were really excellent. We also enjoyed cooking some meals in our studio. The information package you provided was complete and as a result we were prepared for our stay. The staff was great and the unit clean and comfortable. The other guests at Two Bays and Cabier all seem to be seeking the same thing - a great getaway in the non touristy Caribbean. That meant for some good conversations and outings. We will be back.

Excellent-you have to go!
This was my third trip to Two Bays and the second time I stayed at Bayside. My friend stayed in Beachside and it was such fun to wander over in the mornings and sit on her verandah watching the waves break on the sandy beach below. I still prefer Bayside, I think, as my views were stupendous. Not much to choose between them though. The pool was a new addition since my last visit two years ago. It is an eternity pool and looked over my bay - wonderful. The gardens had developed nicely. The meals down at the hotel were delicious. We intended to eat in occasionally, but always ended up in the evenings with the old rum punch, three course dinner down at the hotel. We had a hire car trip over the middle of the island, and a couple of trips to St. George and yet I don't think we have scratched the surface of Grenada. Highly recommended.

Unspoilt carribean paradise!
We had a lovely time staying in the beachside studio at Cabier ocean lodge. The studio was clean and comfortable and with the fan there was always a good breeze. We loved swimming before breakfast with only the donkeys on the beach, and Bruno and iris were great hosts. We enjoyed Bruno's cooking - had meant to self- cater but we ended up eating Bruno's food most nights - especially enjoyed the lobster evening! Bruno also took us on a great tour of the whole island. We were so glad to be staying at Cabier and not on the fashionable west coast of Grenada - we were far away from the cruise ships and all inclusive hotels. I think the essential thing at Cabier is to have a jeep because otherwise you might be a bit stuck there and it is fun to explore!

About the neighbourhood
Two Bays is in a rural location. Cabier is like the Caribbean was many years ago before mass tourism. It is a real get-away from it all place. There are local shops selling basics, eggs, and bread about 15 minutes walk uphill to the coast road. Nearest town, market and supermarket is at Grenville 15 minutes away by car. There are walks along the coast. Walks in the rain forest are about 30 minutes away by car.
Getting around
A car is desirable although the local Cabier taxi can take you on sightseeing trips otherise the buses and collectivos on the man road can reach most of the parts of the island with various changes. Bus fares are very cheap.
Access
Car advised
How to get there
We recomend that you hire a car either at the airport or at Cabier. Cabier is a 45 minute drive from St Georges. This is via Cabier's car rental partnes. An SUV is recommended. Full directions are given. If you would like a taxi then Cabier will organise that for you, typically $48. There is parking at Two Bays. There are regular minibuses and collectivo taxis going up and down the main coast road behind Cabier between St George's and Grenville.
