There are waterfalls and walks in the area, plus the area is perfect for day trips to places of historical interest and attractions, such as the White Scar Caves and the Ribblehead Viaduct. A brilliant day can be had by travelling along the Settle to Carlisle Railway. Nine miles away is Barnard Castle, and within driving distance are Bowes Museum, Raby Castle, and the town of Middleton in Teesdale.More
Stayed for 4 days, close to all amenities in this lively friendly village. Cosy cottage, clean and fresh, comfy beds, lovely little garden, will be back in June 2021.

Had an amazing long weekend at Copper Cottage. Cottage was very clean and tidy with good facilities. Location is excellent, couple of very nice local pubs (Wheatsheaf and Old Post Office) and some incredible walks on the doorstep.
Clean cottage in a great location. The location was perfect for nice walks and to enjoy the waterfall with a great pub nearby. Would defiantly recommend it and book it again in the future.
