Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

The best self catering accommodation ever!
We stayed in this beautiful cottage for one week whilst in the area for a family wedding. It is amazing. Spotlessly clean and so well equipped. All the bedrooms are en suite which was brilliant for us as we had other members of the family staying with us for the wedding weekend. There is also a beautiful bathroom with a luxurious bath which we were grateful for after walking in the Sperrin Mountains! The surrounding area is so scenic and we were about an hour’s drive away from the Giant’s Causeway and the Antrim Coast. We were surrounded by farm land and the only sounds were from the cows, birds and the pair of pheasants which kept visiting our garden. It was idyllic and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. Margaret was so helpful and friendly and supplied us with a welcome pack on our arrival consisting of home made scones, jam, bacon, eggs and milk, so thoughtful. To cap it all we had wall to wall sunshine, fairly unusual for Northern Ireland I think!

Perfect home in a lovely rural setting
This rental home is perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is new, with roomy and comfortable accommodations, The three of us each enjoyed our own private bedroom and bath, with an extra bath on the main level. The living area and kitchen are also spacious and made us feel home. Margaret is the best hostess and welcomed us with a lovely basket of breakfast items. She was personable and gave us great information about touring the area. We really enjoyed taking day trips to different parts of Northern Ireland and returning to the comforts of this cottage. The location is remote, but easy to travel to other sites in the area.

Family reunion
I booked Annagh Cottage at Easter, my family and I were there for a family reunion. I had read reviews and I can only say this cottage and our hosts superseded my expectations. It has everything!! its immaculately kept, everything from a welcomes basket to firewood. The cottage is right in the heart of mid Ulster ideal for day trips. I will be returning again and again. Thank you Margaret and Paddy you are doing an exceptional job. Rosemary

Lovely, clean and comfortable cottage
Our stay at Annagh Cottage was delightful. The cottage is kept immaculate and had all the amenities one could ask for. It exceeded my expectations when it came to size, it was large and comfortable. We were able to entertain family members easily. Margaret, the owner, was exceptional and more than accommodating. We can’t wait to return.

Beautiful Cottage in peaceful surroundings
We had a fantastic week, staying in this beautiful cottage.Margaret ,our wonderful host, has thought of everything that you could possibly need and is always just a call away. The Cottage is close to local amenities in Bellaghy and has good road connections for visiting the local sights. The Cottage is finished to a very high standard and has a lovely warm and cosy feel to it, but is also big enough to accommodate all guests. My Father booked the Cottage specifically for the disabled access, which was excellent, and we were able to entertain visiting relatives; Margaret even offering to bring extra dishes if needed! We can't wait to return!

Fabulous 5 star accommodation
The property is maintained to the highest of standards, it's spotless and has absolutely everything that one could need. It is centrally located to visit all areas of Northern Ireland on a day trip basis. Supermarket and good pub/restaurant (The Tap House) close by in Bellaghy. Margaret was an excellent host, responding to queries very promptly and providing a good welcome pack for our first breakfast. The only problem now is that I will struggle to find other properties of such a high standard.

Perfect cottage in wonderful location
This wonderful spacious cottage is perfect for a family or a couple. The cottage is really comfy and very well equipped. It is 5 minutes from excellent restaurants and if you are interested in poetry The Heaney Homeplace - a museum -is a very special place to visit. The hostess Margaret is really friendly. The cottage has a copious supply of fluffy white towels and bathrooms en-suite. We very on a visit for a family wedding at Ballyscullion Park. WE also used it to get to The Open at Royal Portrush - which is 40 minutes away. WE hope to return. Kay Murmann

Fantastic Holiday Cottage!
This was our second stay at Annagh Cottage and once agan we had a fantastic holiday! The cottage is first class; very homely, spacious (we have 3 children) and well appointed. We hire holiday accommodation in the South West of England every year and in comparison the welcome pack at Annagh Cottage was very generous! The cottage location is extremely peaceful and set in beautiful countryside with stunning views over Lough Beg/ Church Island. The cottage is centrally located enough for visiting tourist sites in the north of Ireland which are all relatively short drives away (no more than an hours drive for visiting Giants Causeway or Derry City for example). Finally, the cottage owners Margaret and Patrick, are very warm and generous hosts and could not have done enough for us during our (two) stays. We will return again soon!

Cozy Home Away from Home
My husband and I, my sister, and my nephew rented this warm and cozy home away from home for 2 weeks in September 2019. We each had our own bed and bath - our own space. Annagh Cottage provides everything you need to be comfortable. This Cottage was immaculate with quality furnishings. It is nestled in the country side, with cows as neighbors. It’s off the beaten path, no traffic, just quiet solitude, yet only 5 minutes from the little town of Bellaghy where we visited the grocery store and the restaurant often. During our stay, we visited several cousins and were easily able to invite cousins over for dinner and visits. Margaret and Patrick were so very accommodating and friendly, we could not have been treated better. Very reasonably priced. We definitely will be renting again in the future.
