Ostuni, Province of Brindisi, Puglia
This holiday home has all the character of stone vaulted rooms and conical trullo but with the convenience of a newly renovated, well insulated design. Modern bathrooms and kitchen with professional cooker. Look out from the veranda over the pool to the Aloes and Olive trees, or from the roof terrace, great for evening parties, to the Adriatic or the beautifully lit Carovigno and its castle. Seven minutes drive to Ostuni, the white city, 'the jewel of Puglia' with its wonderful old city to explore by day or enjoy in the warm night air. Relax in old bars, or the sophisticated modernity melted into the solid stone. Carovigno has a lot to offer from gourmet to great value restaurants with fantastic food and low prices. Italians choose to holiday here. The veranda has an outside kitchen, popular in southern Italy, and we have two barb... Read more

Reviewed 21 October 2017 for a stay in September 2017

An exceptional week spent at Will’s villa and trullo – we were 2 couples and stayed for a week in early September – one couple occupied the villa and the other the trullo so we had plenty of room. We were exhausted when we arrived so decided to stay in as the fridge was stocked to enable us to prepare...

Management response:

Thank you for your kind words and for being great guests. I know holidays are hard earned and we try to help where we can. Puglia is such a wonderful region, and Villa Acacia very convenient for a quick trip to Ostuni, Carovigno, or the beaches, and for longer trips further afield. It’s also great for lounging by the pool...

We recently travelled as a group of friends to Will's villa which is peacefully tucked away down country lanes through olive groves between the two contrasting yet equally alluring towns of Ostuni and Carovigno. The villa itself was beautifully built and equipped, with enough space and grounds for there to always be a cosy corner in which to sit in...

Management response:

Thank you very much. You are welcome, and I am so pleased you all had a great holiday. We are in a great place here, it is tranquil and yet convenient. About the neighbourhood
Ostuni, the 'Citta Bianca' is a magical place especially in the evenings. The architecture is a mix of all things southern Mediterranean. It looks like a north African town. Eating, drinking and relaxing out in the open air late into the night is a joy, for all ages. In July and more so in August the main Piazzas of Ostuni and Carovigno have live entertainment of all sorts of high quality, culminating in the Saint Oronzo horse parade in Ostuni on August 25/26th. Martina Franca has an Opera festival in July. Ostuni and Carovigno are working towns that operate all year round. This is a mainly agricultural area. The soil here is highly fertile and wonderful vegetables are available. The Markets tend to be on different days in different towns. Carovigno's is Tuesday morning, Ostun... more
