Nice apartment,clean and everything you need.short walk to both the beach/harbour one way, and a short walk to town centre the other way, close to bars and restaurants, and the supermarket is only 5 minutes away.would recommend for anyone.

Perfect location, nice pool and gardens.
Booked for a week after being in Lisbon.
Fantastic, ideal location - five minutes from huge beautiful sandy beach - about the same to the centre of town where there are numerous restaurants.
Lovely pool area, plenty of sunbeds, kids pool, nicely landscaped gardens.
Gated complex and parking available as part of rental (if needed).
Cafes and bars close by but not right on the doorstep so no noise.
Nice little private terrace overlooking garden.
Basic start up provided i.e. toilet roll, washing up liquid, soap and a bin with a bag in it - though likely need more for stay. Can't expect more for self catering.
Apartment very clean.
WIFI, dishwasher (we didn't use as ate out), washing machine, air con, TV, DVD player, books, drying rack, usual cutlery, plates etc.
Apartment and furniture is a bit dated but clean and bed comfy.

Spacious well equipped apartment, handy for beautiful beach and town centre.
We have been to Alvor many times and stayed in a larger apartment in this complex. It is a great location, handy for beach, restaurants and everything you need. This one bedroom apartment is situated on the ground floor with a small terrace overlooking a grass area and is secluded from the road by a large hedge. The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine. Marta, the housekeeper was very helpful and attentive.
My only criticism was a little bit damp in the wardrobe which caused a musty smell.

Nice clean accommodation ... very few ammeneties and stocks
This was a nice clean accommodation. Beach and amenities both close by. Did not have a high-chair asked for one and was provided one that was very dirty. The description said that it had a dryer... but it only has drying rack. Asked to changed towels once, which they did, but stored the wet dirty towels in a cupboard which started smelling. No stocks ... Had to buy everything ... hand soap/dish soap etc.
Could improve a lot by stocking some basic amenities. No view of the ocean from the house.

Excellent Location
Apartment located within easy walking distance of attractions in Alvor in a well kept gated complex. Beautiful sunny pool area but too cold for use in March but still ok for sun bathing. Our apartment was ground floor with south facing terrace which was in the sun all day. The apartment was large & well equipped with a very comfortable bed but the pillows could have been better.
Marta met us on arrival & it was really reassuring that she was easily contactable if there were any problems or queries.
Did not give 5 stars as apartment could be quite cold & would not be suitable for long term in the winter months. There was also a bit of damp in one side of the wardrobe which I think came from the bath on the other side of the wall. Saying that I would not hesitate to rebook here or recommend this apartment to anyone for the warmer months but think we would be really lucky to get a vacancy at this time. Great holiday, great apartment.

Great app everything u need well situated and a short walk to to the quaint little town Marta the cleaner is a star and was at are back and call thank you. Would defo go back in fact could live there beach to die for bigger town for shopping called Portameo not far away

Excellent position
A spacious one bedrooms ground floor apartment in an excellent position within walking distance of the beach, harbour and town, Linen changed weekly. Adequately equipped. Minor irritations such as automatic intercom access not working, hairdryer damaged but overall a pleasant 4 week experience.

Great place to stay
We were pleasantly surprised how good the apartment was. Very convenient location for walking to marina and centre of Alvor, good security with well protected garden, plenty of secure car parking, very nice pool area, and apartment had all the facilities that we needed. We felt this was very good value for money.

Alvor is a fishing village located 5 km west of Portimão, it became an important port during the time of the Moorish occupation. It once had its own castle, which was destroyed by the earthquake on 1 November, 1755. Originally built by the Carthaginians in 436 AD, it was attacked and plundered by the Christian Crusaders in 1189, at the same time as the larger settlements of Silves and Portimão were taken.
What to see: the village itself is a maze of cobbled streets and a 16th-century parish church with a fine Manueline portal featuring a round arch and abstract floral motifs. As well as Alvor beach itself, there are some lovely golden stretches of sand towards Portimão, most notably the small cove of Praia dos Três Irmãos with its magnificent red cliffs.
Further east are the deserted caves and grottoes at João de Areus and the quiet, secluded beach of Praia do Vau nearby. Further east, the bustling fishing port of Portimão has many good restaurants and plenty of night-life.
