It is surrounded by olive trees (we do our own high-quality organic olive oil) and typical vineyards. The farmhouse dates back to the 17th century, it had an extensive restoration work a few years ago in a very refined style and trying to maintain as much as possible of the original building. The garden where the swimming pool is is immersed in the silent, relaxing surroundings of the countryside. This apartment is ideal for 2 persons but can sleep up to 3: it has one bedroom with double bed and private bathroom (at first floor), its own kitchen/living (ground floor), and private outdoor garden area (BBQ available). In the living/kitchen a single bed can be added. Podere Casarotta, because of its privileged position, offers a perfect balance between rest&relaxation and the chance to move around and visit hundreds of interesting places: the house is secluded, quiet and peaceful, but at the same time it's near to local town and villages (the nearest shopping point is Castelfranco di Sopra, just 4kms away!) and the A1 motorway is just at a 10 minutes drive. Then Casarotta will be your luxurious, comfortable and relaxing starting point for visiting Tuscany! Whatever you are looking for: art, history, culture, parks and nature, wine and food routes, or just absolute relax, you will find them all at hand! ** TRIP ADVISOR 2014 CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE WINNER ** Search for us: PODERE CASAROTTAMore

About the neighbourhood
Podere Casarotta has belonged to the district of Loro Cuiffenna since 1774, as can be seen from the date carved on the left-hand corner of the building. Loro Ciuffenna (just 9km from us) is a beautiful, characteristic old-fashioned Tuscan village, nestled on the slopes of Pratomagno. The name itself tells about its Etruscan origins. In the middle-age Loro was a fortified village at the junction of two rivers bridged at two points, which led to two gates in the village walls. There was once a castle in Loro, which is mentioned in documents as far back as 1065. The old town still retains a lot of its original character. There is a road that goes from Loro uphill towards the Pratomagno mountain, passing from the mountain hamlets of Rocca Ricciarda, La Trappola, San Clemente in Valle; the ro...
How to get there
The easiest way to get to us is via the A1 motorway ('Autostrada del Sole'). COMING FROM NORTH (Milan, Florence, Pisa) On the A1 motorway going south, exit at Incisa-Valdarno. After the motorway-toll, turn right. After about 50m, turn right again and follow the signs for Castelfranco di Sopra/Reggello. Then follow the signs for Castelfranco di Sopra. Once in Castelfranco di Sopra (about 15 km. from the exit of Incisa motorway) go on to Loro Ciuffenna/Certignano on the Setteponti provincial road. Go through Certignano and ahead straight on the Setteponti towards Loro Ciuffenna. Past Certignano there is a small bridge with a traffic light, then after some hundreds meters, on the left side of the road there is a small road going up to the hill, and on the right (between the olive trees) you ...
