Cawsand, Cornwall, England
Traditional fisherman's cottage in this old smugglers' village. Perfect for romantic getaways and family holidays. This cosy cottage has everything you might need from hair-dryer to food processor and high speed WiFi. The two double bedrooms are a comfortable size and the bathroom has a separate wet-room style shower as well as a Victorian roll-top bath. There is a second lavatory on the ground floor too. Excellent location between two lovely friendly villages with a beach in both. A wonderfully clean and well equipped cottage with quality appliances and furniture. I would definitely recommend this cottage and location and will without a doubt be returning in the near future.

The cottage is beautiful. It was extremely clean and beds and bed linen good quality and comfortable. Great location for pubs, beach and walking. We walked miles and miles on the coast path in each direction and scenery was breathtaking. Lovely cream tea waiting for us on arrival. Great to find a dog friendly cottage and pubs. Only difficulty was...

Management response:

Parking directly at properties in Cawsand is like finding hens' teeth! One can at least drive right up to the front door to unload. The carpark is about 100 yards walking distance, though it's 300 to drive around to it. Cawsand beach is just a 2 minute walk and a 3 minute walk in the other direction is dog-friendly (tidal)...

The cottage is in a fantastic location with the lovely calm waters of Cawsand on one side and the larger waves of Kingsand on the other. The cottage had everything we needed and it is very spacious and comfortable. We'll definitely be booking another stay again soon!

Management response:

Thanks you. We will be delighted to welcome you back.

About the neighbourhood
The twin ancient fishing villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are two of the best in Cornwall. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the South West Coastal Path and overlooking Plymouth Sound. This is a fantastic area for walking and bird watching - there have been some rare sightings. Mount Edgcumbe Park is right on the doorstep: with its renowned 800 acre gardens, great for family picnics and plenty of room for the children to run around, it is also one of only a handful of Grade I listed gardens in the UK. In the village itself there is plenty to do: there are three rock and sand beaches, traditional, old beamed family pubs with good food, Real Ale and village shops. Canoes, sailing boats and windsurf boards for hire in Cawsand and you should not miss the Flower-boat ceremony... more
