An Cala, "the haven" in Scottish Gaelic, is an ideal place to spend the holidays. Situated in the quiet village of Nethy Bridge, the house overlooks the River Nethy and Abernethy Forest. The garden goes all the way down to the river, where herons and otters live. Many nearby walking and biking trails are in the area, and An Cala is ideally situated from which to set off on super road bike trips throughout the Cairngorm National Park. A golf course and the tennis courts are only a 10 minute walk away. The RSPB centre at Loch Garten is nearby and is a terrifc place to spot the Ospreys. With 4 old navy friends from Holland we had and excellent stay in this beautiful, well equipped, clean, warm hous.The hot tub was after a long walk really nice. The kitchen full equipped. I will recommend this house to anybody.

Just spent 3 nights at An Cala with our family of 10. We really couldn't fault the accommodation. Plenty of room for us all. Fantastic kitchen/living area,spacious bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms to keep everyone happy and of course there is the hot tub. Whilst we were there we visited The Highland Wildlife Park, Landmark, Loch Ness, Osprey Centre, Funicular...

Beautiful house in wonderful setting, great for all ages (although the decking could be dangerous for young/old/animals as it is open plan). Ideal base for travelling to outdoor activities. Great visit to Highland Wildlife Park - must go at feeding times as animals are active. Inbetween the Lecht and Cairngorm Ski Centres which gives you a great choice of skiing....
